Shelter cats of central florida (and my little dogs too). Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Another Year, Another Frosty Paws in the Park. It wasn't quite as cold as last year, but it was still pretty freaking cold at this year's Paws in the Park. I haven't heard what the total was, but Team Ween raised $150 for Central Florida's homeless pets! And what makes me even more proud is that all three made it around the lake on their own! Then they crashed for the rest of that day. Cold weather means cute sweaters!

Please welcome Owen, the newest member of our family, who arrived on the last morning of the year of the dragon. At just over 7 pounds, he's smaller than Meow Meow but full of feist. We figured Meow Meow wouldn't have much trouble adjusting to her new sort-of sibling as long as he was willing to share the rights to one of her favorite places.

Meow Meow's been very tolerant of the changes in our availability, though she's been having a rough time with hairballs in the last month. The poor girl is shedding her winter coat but hasn't had the help we usually give her in grooming it all off, so she's been managing on her own with unfortunate digestive side effects.
