Diary of a Transplant Patient. A journal contemplating life after a liver transplant. Thursday, December 29, 2005. I love road trips with my husband. We never fail to get into something crazy. Like the first time we travelled anywhere together. All he told me was that we were going snow skiing. I didn't realize until he had me pull out the map that we were supposed to be meeting some friends of his in Knoxville. We were in Chattanooga. We haven't even been through Kentucky yet." We stopped at some ra...

Diary of a Transplant Patient. A journal contemplating life after a liver transplant. Thursday, September 29, 2005. I've been thinking a lot about prayer the past week or so. I've said before that I haven't really been able to pray. But I'm not so sure about that now. Maybe I have been praying all along and didn't realize that's what I was doing. Our problem. Maybe He wants less of, "God, heal me," and more of, "God, mold me and use me in spite of my illness." Maybe it's only when we have prayed ...But b...

Diary of a Transplant Patient. A journal contemplating life after a liver transplant. Friday, July 29, 2005. So I ate. A lot. Of everything. I knew I was going to be fine, so I didn't pace myself.
