Seven Sisters for Seven Days: July 2012

http://www.weekofsisters.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 30, 2012. Ten Minute Cinderella Cure. So, one of my friends has this incredible blog, Cinderella Duty. She is so cute. One day she posted a challange, the Ten Minute Challenge. The Goal was to see how much you could clean up in 10 minutes. So, on the days that I am not deep cleaning a specific room, I will give it a ten minute cure. Cinderella worked all day, but I refuse too. Here is my Living room before pictures. (I did not make it messy, this is how it was, I promise). We are moms, our t...

Then we were crazy enough to go run bleachers. I know what are we thinking? If you want to check out GPP. For a month, they are having a Living Social deal for $35 dollars for your first month. Ummm, hello! What did you do to push your body? For me, this week, but also running/training for a marathon.

Seven Sisters for Seven Days: Pear Cinnamon Jam

http://www.weekofsisters.blogspot.com/2012/08/pear-cinnamon-jam.html

Tuesday, August 28, 2012. I have two pear trees in my backyard and the pears are coming on. I was desperately searching the intern this afternoon looking for something to do with all these pears. I came across this recipe and plan on giving it a try. Makes 3 pints (fills six half pint jars). 8 cups cored and chopped Bartlett pears (or any smooth, thin-skinned pear. There’s no need to peel.). 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Juice of 1/2 a lemon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). ADDing to the Noise.

The Wegners: A Week of Family Fun

http://jessicarau.blogspot.com/2014/04/a-week-of-family-fun.html

Wednesday, April 23, 2014. A Week of Family Fun. The last week of March was an extremely busy one for us that was jam packed with endless fun family time! The week started off with a day trip to Seattle to visit my old roommate Jessica on Monday. She picked me up from the airport, we got lunch at Pike Place Market, then went to the zoo :) It was SO good to see her and catch up! My Aunt and Uncle came into town Tuesday. Night for their sons wedding, and then on Thursday. Plus a little photo-bomber :).

The Wegners: March 2013

http://jessicarau.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 1, 2013. A week ago we found ourselves on a very spontaneous trip in desperate search of some much needed Vitamin D. aka Glorious Sunshine! Jeff had 5 days off coming up so we really wanted to go do something. Our search for a perfect location actually began a couple weeks before his days off, but the final decision wasn't made until 11:00 pm the night before. ha :). All I wanted was a relaxing beach vacation, with some sun/warmth, that was also "exotic" and affordable. simple right? The ri...

The Wegners: Some Assembly Required...

http://jessicarau.blogspot.com/2014/04/some-assembly-required.html

Sunday, April 27, 2014. You'd think assembling a crib would be a simple task. well, it is. at least for most people! However, apparently for Jeff and I it's a struggle, and actually quite the comedian act. Ha. And all that led to one final. Reassemble (in our bedroom this time ha)! Well until we realized the fact that we had reassembled it AROUND me! Man, what a night! Ha ha :) We had a pretty good laugh at ourselves. At least I can claim Pregnancy Brain. Jeff? Well he has no excuse! This little Wegner f...

Sunday, April 14, 2013. 4th Annual Baby Animal Days. Yes, it's that time of year again! When Spring is in the air and baby animals are among us. As many of you know, Baby Animal Days not only marks the coming of spring, but a special part of Jeff and I's past. Baby Animal Days is my favorite yearly tradition and this year we had company! It's fantastic because not only do you get to see, hold, pet baby animals but it also gives us an excuse to revisit our beloved Logan (which I miss dearly.). We flew out...

The Wegners: August 2013

http://jessicarau.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 19, 2013. Twinkle, Twinkle Little (Shooting) Star. With the truck back in Utah and mostly working. we've finally, FINALLY been able to satisfy our Off-roading cravings. Ahhh. it felt so good to get out exploring the beauty that is right in our back yard! We explored Farmington Canyon for the first time and took Skyline Dr. all the way to Bountiful. We've tried this road before (from the Bountiful end) and got less than half way before we ran into a "road closed" sign. To do for months now.

The Wegners: June 2013

http://jessicarau.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 21, 2013. The Land Down Under - Part 3. We spent our last full day exploring Sydney! After our parking difficulties the day before, we decided we didn't want to deal with the hassle and just took a bus into the city. It was pretty convenient and way, way cheaper than paying to park in the city. Our first stop was Circular Quay, right by the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Opera House. A view of the city and Circular Quay from the Opera House. Here we found an awesome picturesque location! We th...

The Wegners: December 2013

http://jessicarau.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 31, 2013. What's New With the Wegners. Costa Rica was a great way to finish up our wonderful and busy summer. Man. summer seems so long ago. After our trip, we went on a couple camping trips, went to some weddings, and most importantly. we moved! Out of my parents basement into our own one bedroom basement apartment in Farmington! We are so very, very. We LOVE it so so much! The area is wonderful, the ward is wonderful (and gigantic), our landlords are fantastic and really look after me...

Prayers for Peace

For those who want to persevere with the idea of praying with people of other faiths, three thoughts may be helpful. First, the different prayers that we say are said by neighbours in the same town and the same street every week. In worshipping together we simply bring under one roof what happens anyway under the same sky. Secondly, we are convinced that there is only one humanity that prays, and only one Divinity that we pray to, whatever different opinions we may have about that one Divinity.

Reflections on bumping into God. March 26, 2014. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.’ John 13:34-35. Michelle, are you available? It’s someone named Cathy on the phone. I don’t know the last name. Garth was speaking to me from my church office door. It was 9:30 am I wasn’t sure which Cathy it could be either. Hello, I said picking up the phone.
