23 Things @ UL. Thing 17 Office 2.0. What is Office 2.0? Office 2.0 refers to online productivity web-based applications (think word processing and spreadsheets). These applications provide users with the ability to create and share documents over the internet without the need for installed desktop applications. Wikipedia has a description of the development and nature of Instant Messaging. What software is needed? There are a lot of different packages available that allow people to IM.
