Testing, testing . I signed up here with two intentions. The first was to enable me to reply to. Red Dwarf: What an abomination of a Finale. And I watched the last episode of Season 8 of Red Dwarf, and to quote Lady Catherine de Bourgh (Pride and Prejudice), "I am most seriously displeased". I won't repeat what I actually exclaimed on seeing "The End" appear on the screen before anything was resolved. I won't subject you to that, and I offer my apologies to fahran since he did have to hear it. Plot-holes the size of the Grand Canyon. Rimmer's costume changes and set changes from series to series.

I finally got around to watching the Series VIII DVD this week. Through Red Dwarf, one DVD at a time. When we made it to Series VIII I was seriously hoping it was going to better than my memories of it. I haven't seen Series VIII since it first aired on TV, and while I had a few chuckles, it was mostly just I recalled - ie. shite.
