we heart our bikes: Idaho, Oregon, California Pictures

http://www.weheartourbikes.blogspot.com/2009/08/idaho-oregon-california-pictures.html

Saturday, August 8, 2009. Idaho, Oregon, California Pictures. 1 Did you know Oregon has mountains? 4/5 Our first day in the Pacific Ocean, which is on the other side of the country, "clear 'cross town," as someone in Indiana told us. Little did we know what the next six days would entail. Turns out sea level is full of mountains too. And whoever said all roads are graded to 6% LIED. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). we heart our bikes: And yet, there are more pictures

http://www.weheartourbikes.blogspot.com/2009/08/and-yet-there-are-more-pictures.html

Saturday, August 8, 2009. And yet, there are more pictures. 1 Melissa's self portrait. 2 We made it! That's the Golden Gate Bridge. And that's us. On the San Francisco side. 3 The Redwoods are all they're cracked up to be. Notice we look stressed? That's because my tire had a hole in it and we just needed to get to the next bike shop by 5:30. We made it. 4 This is why you buy the expensive shoes. That's Lisa's foot. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We heart our bikes. Subscribe To we heart our bikes.

http://www.weheartourbikes.blogspot.com/2009/08/more-oregon-and-california-pictures.html

Saturday, August 8, 2009. More Oregon and California Pictures. 1 The motorcycling dentists we met outside of Yellowstone were impressed. 2 Also in Yellowstone, we met Jim Clause (no relation) from Lakeview, Oregon, which happened to be on our route a week later. He and his wife, Lorrie, took us in and fed us an amazing steak dinner complete with the best sweet corn we've had yet. Thanks! 4 Primary colored helmets. Self explanatory. Riding from NYC to SF: Discovery detour

http://nysf2009.blogspot.com/2009/08/into-wind.html

Thursday, August 6. Gerry has planned a little detour for our ride to Discovery Bay. Where two friends of his live, Julio and Tracy: south to Stockton, then west to Discovery bay. Interestingly the wind blew from the south in the morning, calmed down around noon and then blew from the west. Our ride got us into an amazing area of homes developed in the so called ' Sacramento - San Joaquin river delta. Julio and Tracy live right on one of these canals. Her sister Amy is visiting as well with Stewart.

Riding from NYC to SF: Our last pass?

http://nysf2009.blogspot.com/2009/08/landscape-is-still-dry-and-flat-as-we.html

Friday, August 7. The landscape is still dry and flat as we need to go around the east side of the bay to reach the northern part where vineyards expands in Napa and Sonoma valleys. The pass of the day was 'John A. Nejedly' bridge, a little steep, windy and heavy traffic:. But we made it to the Valley and got to Napa as the sun was going down on the hills. Riding from NYC to SF: Story telling

http://nysf2009.blogspot.com/2009/08/story-telling.html

Wednesday, August 5. Breakfast is one of the best moment of the day: pancakes, sausage, eggs and coffee taste great before a good ride. We share our stories with the waitress and some retired old men that hang here every morning. And our effort are rewarded by great hospitality at Donna and Dan's in South Sacramento! Great diner, great company and talks! Gerry loves to tell his stories, especially the hassle he had with Apple in Des Moines IA to tease Dan that has been working there since '92. This is (a...

Riding from NYC to SF: Three steps to help

http://nysf2009.blogspot.com/2009/05/go-theophile-go.html

Friday, May 29. Three steps to help. Théophile is my nephew. He's 9 year old. He's a cool little guy, fond of his many hippos. When he was 5, Théophile was intensively treated for leukemia and mostly recovered. End of April '09, we learnt that his leukemia was back and he started a second treatment. Of course every case is different and Théophile is well taken care of in France at 'Hopital Trousseau', a pediatric hospital in Paris. It so far involves chemotherapy and radiology. By enrolling to your natio...

Riding from NYC to SF: Why go west?

http://nysf2009.blogspot.com/2009/05/ill-go-west.html

Thursday, May 28. I'm not used to living on the East side. I mean on the East side of a continent. In Long Island, I often get confused between East and West. It doesn't match my instinct that you should go East to find the ocean. Three months of spare time and a bicycle should be enough to go West and find the Pacific ocean. Let's say, from New York to San Francisco; along the great lakes, thru the hills, plains and montains of this country with the size of a continent. Ride for bone marrow donation.

Riding from NYC to SF: Riding for bone marrow donation

http://nysf2009.blogspot.com/2009/05/ride-for-bone-marrow-donation.html

Thursday, May 28. Riding for bone marrow donation. The world has changed but our ambitions remain the same: live a better life. The frontier we are after today involves better living together. Did you know for instance that somewhere in Europe or in the rest of the world, someone can be about to save the life of a little American? In 2005 when my nephew Théophile went thru his first leukemia. Three steps to help. Report about bone marrow transplantation. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 3 gilrs on the...

One family's adventures (and misadventures) in urban Cincinnati. February 19, 2013. Well, to be honest with you, it does not include plans to become a full time blogger. This blog started as a way for our family to document our life in OTR, but has turned more into a chore that I have taken on (ie, “blog post” is included on my weekly to do list). That’s no fun. Thanks to everyone who has read and commented on this blog – we appreciate it tremendously. January 31, 2013. January 21, 2013. Yes, it was fun&...

Upgrade to paid account! Overlays: we heart them. Sep 18th, 2009 12:46 am. Overlays: we heart them. I'm just wondering if someone has ever managed to overlay a facial expression with a pose on child sims. I'm currently doing some pictures with kid sims and I'm a quite a bit frustrated with the lack of options for them. Very few poseboxes or hacks are enabled for them, but what I miss the most is Decorgal's model box. Have you found a way to enable the model box for children? Thank you in advance! Goodbye...
