The Cause in New York. I went to NYC on Saturday to see the Cause. S first Village performance at Lion's Den. The band didn't let a couple of sound glitches and a broken guitar string stop them from putting on a great show. They have another NYC on February 20 at the Continental, in addition to several upcoming D.C. area gigs. I enjoyed the quick trip to New York. Luckily for me, the club is just a couple of doors down from Peanut Butter and Co. And a short walk to Girl Props. Photos from the show:.

I think it's time to take a little break from blogging. I haven't been getting a lot out of it lately and don't have much time to spend on it. I need to rethink how I want to use this forum. It has gotten away from what I originally wanted it to be. Para; 10:37 AM. Tip of the Day. You know that funky smell that inevitably permeates the interior of a cooler? That stale, dank smell that reveals past bologna sandwiches that inhabited the space? Para; 9:58 AM. Do we like the "Ebay Item of the Day" feature?

If you're walking from Ben's Chili Bowl at 1:00 am to your car and you're eager to get home because you're tired, be careful about choosing your steps. There are large rectangles of what looks like dirt. You might decide to walk on what you think is dirt to get around that slow couple in front of you. It's not dirt. It's cement. Be careful out there. Para; 9:50 AM. On June 20th. Be there or be square. Check out FF's artist page. Para; 7:21 AM. Here are my goals and how I met them:. 2 Eat coconut shrimp.

Snake Rabbit. Crow. Asymp; Leave a comment. It being such a nice day hereabouts, Chris. Official Hours of Folly prediction: Kerry will get the nomination, then win. Understand that, predictions aside, we at Hours of Folly have our fingers crossed so tightly our shoulders hurt. I walked down to the wrecking ball the other day with my friend Dr. Eve Wircus. From where he was standing at the AFL-CIO today, Kerry was within sight of both the wrecking ball and the White House. Makes you think. Next post →.

Jan 30, 2007. That's hillbilly music. I've got the blues. Every Tuesday from 6 pm to 8 pm I mentor three 6th grade boys through the Higher Achievement. Last week we read and analyzed an Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Poem (Yes, How Do I Love Thee. For fun, I let the kids put their grubby ears on my iPod to listen to a musical adaptation of a Robert Browning. They loved holding my iPod, but after listening to the selection they exclaimed, "This is hillbilly music.". This week we're talking about the blues.
