Southern Fried Thinker: So Little and Yet So Much
http://southernfriedthinker.blogspot.com/2012/11/so-little-and-yet-so-much.html
Saturday, November 24, 2012. So Little and Yet So Much. This post will be very short. I'm currently in the editing process, and hoping to have some actual excerpts of the finished product up soon. I found this poem from a Lovecraft story I haven't read yet. When I read it, the poem felt so fitting with my book, its plot, and the ideas therein. It's from the story Polaris. Please enjoy. Slumber, watcher, till the spheres,. Six and twenty thousand years. Have revolv'd, and I return. Yet Another Late Post.

Southern Fried Thinker: Deodorant and Bugatti
http://southernfriedthinker.blogspot.com/2013/01/needs-and-wants.html
Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Inspired me quite a bit for this post. I've been reading some personal finance blogs, and this one really stuck to me. She also has a similar post, and it had me thinking of how I've had to trim things down. I hate school loans. I like that I was able to go to college and finish in 4.5 years. I'm glad I'm not still in school. There is an upside to school loans. I still hate them. Mentally, it made me consider needs vs. wants, like the author of My Alternate Life. So yeah, its...

Southern Fried Thinker: Sidewalk Pennies
http://southernfriedthinker.blogspot.com/2013/01/sidewalk-pennies.html
Wednesday, January 30, 2013. So here I am, woefully behind on editing and everything else. I did edit five pages today. I also got $50.00 from some old ChaCha.com work I did, then went to Amazon Mechanical Turk to take a peek at past earnings from there. My car's actually feeling a lot better, too. And my fiance is helping with wedding stuff, because he's awesome. Maybe I can get some more editing done. It's a little harder now that I've decided to change the perspective, but necessary. I'd like ...This ...

Southern Fried Thinker: Ruining Marriage Since 19??
http://southernfriedthinker.blogspot.com/2012/06/ruining-marriage-since-19.html
Monday, June 4, 2012. Ruining Marriage Since 19? I related this story, and my roommate said something to the effect of "Oh yeah, if they weren't Christians, then a church wedding wasn't important to them.". Uh, no, they were poor and didn't have the funds for an "old money" wedding. My other grandparents, who did go to church, had a similarly simple wedding in the church office, with the preacher. Now we can have sex and it's not bad now! Fake cakes. To save money. And serving sheet cake. Well, no, becau...

Southern Fried Thinker: The All-American Drive-In Theater
http://southernfriedthinker.blogspot.com/2012/06/all-american-drive-in-theater.html
Wednesday, June 6, 2012. The All-American Drive-In Theater. Okay Google. I'll bite. Today is June 6, and for students of history such as myself, it is the anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy, an event that gave the Allies a nice little foothold into Europe. Germany surrendered less than a year later. Yet Google has instead chosen to observe the founding of the first drive-in movie theater. I swear I can link the two. Watch me make logical magic. And last but never least is the drive-in's appearance i...
