Wednesday, November 21, 2007. The Melbourne Cup is Australia's the most famous annual horse race. It run at 3.00 pm , on the first Tuesday in November. That day, the nation stops whatever it’s doing to litson to the race call, or watch the race on the TV. Everyone try their luck with a small entry into a sweep. Sweep is a lottery in which each ticket-holder is matched with a randomly drawn horse. The first Melbourne Cup in 1861. Last year, the winner was Japanese horse ‘Delta Blue’.

Wednesday, October 24, 2007. A day at home. Yesterday, I got up at 7:00am and woke up my husband so he could prepare to go to work. But he said he didn't need go to work that day. So, I stayed in the bed until 9:30. I couldn't believe it! He sometimes forgets to tell me when his day off is during the week. His days off are irregular each week. After lounging away the afternoon, we went to Coles. Before I went to bed, I had a bath, so I slept very well last night. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A day at home.
