The Upcycle Diaries: October 2008
http://upcyclediaries.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. All the cool people. Need to stop dying. Links to this post. Thursday, October 30, 2008. We're throwing a Metrolink appreciation event this saturday in an attempt to get the word out about Proposition M. And to have lots of fun. EVERYONE. About it and it's going to be a pretty amazing thing. I don't know what to wear. Various shades of beige, probably. With some sort of snazzy tie. No two things go better together than formalwear and public transportation, right! Upcycle, please,.

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. SoI decided to enter a competition this summer. My Red Hook Rant:. Recently, Red Hook has undergone some major changes, including the arrival of a big blue and yellow box otherwise known as Ikea. Red Hook residents were afraid of the traffic and mayhem Ikea might bring to their usually more slow paced (comparatively, guys! Won't it most likely push out the people who have been calling Red Hook home for generations? So back to The Hook. Bicycles can do that. Anyway, Antonio as...

The Upcycle Diaries: February 2009
http://upcyclediaries.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2009. I started twittering today. I'm not really sure why, considering that I already keep a blog, text like mad, and update my facebook status practically on the hour. I'm not quite sure I do anything that's really interesting enough to be twittered about, but maybe. You can do it from your phone via text message. This concept really fascinates me. Blogging texting! I can hardly contain myself. You should start twittering, too. Links to this post. Tuesday, February 24, 2009.

Monday, September 14, 2009. I am so introspective right now. So, I guess I haven't written on here in a long, long while. I am not sorry, because the break was much deserved, for both you and me, alike. But I am settled now; stable and connected to the world, so maybe it's time that I begin to share my thoughts again. I have always written for other people, either in school or letters, emails, blog posts, whatever. The process. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Everything All of the Time.

The Upcycle Diaries: November 2008

Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Locks of Love Indubitably. I chopped off my hair (probably around a foot of hair), and it was easy. These are the reasons for me why it was so:. 1 I usually can't donate blood because of iron deficiency. 2 I don't really like my hair that much. 3 I can grow it back while the kids with leukemia can't at this point in their lives. And how the pictures have the donors holding up their newly shed ponytails as if it were a prize-winning deer head or a tuna fish? Links to this post.

The Upcycle Diaries: January 2009
http://upcyclediaries.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 22, 2009. Change, far and wide, has come. Officially. And now, things are meant to get better. At least, hopefully. But it, of course, has taken a few steps forwards. Barack is now President and what started off as a hopefuly, long shot of a dream has come to fruition. And hopefully, this fact will sow the seeds of many more seasons of fruit yet to come. I wish the President much luck; his future depends on us probably more than ours depends on his. Here are some pictures from the Inaug.

Wednesday, November 4, 2009. VIDEO: WashU flashmob confronts Coal Executives. Something loud is afoot on our sleepy campus in St. Louis. Washington University students are beginning to re-discover what connects them. Students that have never successfully worked together have just executed the largest direct action on our campus. The target: big coal’s influence on our institution. We saw presentations on “Green Coal” where earth movers the size of houses were depicted moseying through fields&...To coinci...

Thursday, November 19, 2009. I read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer over my holiday and I found that it was quite quotable. Here are some of my favorite lines from the book! Some, I picked for the spirit that they carry, others for the beauty of the words. This book spoke to me, both in terms of Tom's curiosity and style and Huck's relentless grasp towards the simple life. They have a charm and power about them that I find inspirational and interesting; I envy it. Huckleberry was cordially hated and dreaded...
