http://theeducationofkaroline.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
The Education of Karoline. Sunday, August 12, 2012. I'm excited about my new job which I love and offers me all sorts of opportunities to learn! Slowly, I'm starting to feel like myself, like a person again, and not a "student." I'm done with school, but I'm not done with learning. The Education of Karoline continues. Paging Dr. Dad...: March 2013
http://www.pagingdrdad.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Paging Dr. Dad. The thoughts of a dad and small town doctor. Saturday, March 30, 2013. Setting up the Hives. So how do you set up bee hives? I really don't know. I've done a little reading on the internet and had a little advice from some people who know a lot more about it than I do. I've bought the equipment. The boys and I went and picked that up a month or so ago on a nice snowy day. After it was in the ground and leveled out, then all we had to do was stack up the hive supers and sit back and enjoy ...

The Education of Karoline: February 2011
http://theeducationofkaroline.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
The Education of Karoline. Sunday, February 27, 2011. Better. I'm feeling better about oral comps. I studied some this weekend with a friend and that gave me some confidence. Also, I gave myself an attitude adjustment. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. It is hard to keep balanced and keep my mind in check. I start admonishing myself: You are so stupid! I know I'm being hard on myself. I know this. It doesn't make it easier. The only way out is through. Friday, February 11, 2011. Today I am just angry. Rememb...

The Education of Karoline: January 2011
http://theeducationofkaroline.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
The Education of Karoline. Sunday, January 23, 2011. I used to be cool. I used to be cool. I used to do fun things. I used to go to plays, I used to do tai chi, I used to see independent films, read books that kept me informed. I used to ski, hike, hang out with friends. I used to have hobbies. A friend told me that at one of her job interviews, the interviewers just asked a friendly question: What do you like to do for fun? What do you do in your free time? Sunday, January 16, 2011. Some time after Febr...

The Education of Karoline: September 2011
http://theeducationofkaroline.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
The Education of Karoline. Monday, September 19, 2011. I'm motivated to get done with the dissertation process. And when I start beating up on myself for how lousy my writing is or how lazy I feel, when I just want to start all over, I just remind myself that. THE BEST DISSERTATION IS A DONE DISSERTATION. And keep plugging away. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Andrea in Another Landrea. Laura's Happy Journal - Life in SA. Denver Chinese Medicine.com – The Blog. Raisins, Whiskey, and Salsa. The Education of Karoline: June 2011
http://theeducationofkaroline.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
The Education of Karoline. Sunday, June 26, 2011. From the beginning, Dr. #3 informed me of a prescription (with potential addictive properties and withdrawal symptoms). This past year was dedicated to avoiding said prescription and finding alternative ways to heal. It was not easy, especially with events like the death of a dear friend, comprehensive exams and the general feelings of inadequacy one picks up in grad school. Monday, June 6, 2011. I turned down an internship this summer and honestly, I hav...

The Education of Karoline: Perspective
http://theeducationofkaroline.blogspot.com/2011/12/perspective.html
The Education of Karoline. Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Lately, I've been studying a lot of trees. You know, the whole metaphor about the forest and the trees. Graduate school has forced me to examine the trees- it forced me to run my fingers along the bark, feel every jagged edge, notice every vein on every leaf, and monitor growth with every season. The trees forced me to realize how small I am. How do I walk away from these trees, turn one hundred and eighty degrees and confidently look at the forest?

Paging Dr. Dad...: May 2014
http://www.pagingdrdad.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Paging Dr. Dad. The thoughts of a dad and small town doctor. Saturday, May 10, 2014. I have been pondering this all day and here are some things that the kids should know about their Momma:. Your Momma is your greatest ally. Your Momma will fight to the death for you. Your Momma loves you unconditionally. Your Momma is the glue that holds out family together. Your Momma gives up her time to cook your food, wash your clothes, teach you school, keeps you clean, and watches over you. Your Momma is the life ...
