Horror stories of Bridal Boutiques aka one-stop-station-for-everything-they-think-you-need. Hmmm, it's great that everything for solemnization is falling into place. Which leaves us with planning for the tea ceremony-cum-wedding-dinner day. Oh, did we mention that the date is sorta fixed? 21st Nov 2010 (Sunday). . Wedding gown (aka Big Dress) rental . So, we're going to get quotations/estimates of the ale-carte items and see how much the 9 items will cost us, then decide if we really want a package.

Ooh we bought a few bridal mags yesterday from PageOne. The overseas mags are a much better buy than the silly local ones. For one, the models look more normal (read: not anorexic! And of course, you are spared the visual bombardment of the same adverts again and again. The clothes are also more interesting, since they don't follow the same trends as the locals. Fun! Really can't wait, since all 4 stitches have actually broken down and the ends of the nylon digging into the raw wound is actually causing a hell lot more pain than the wound itself. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Took this shot from my room this evening, and TOTALLY loved it! Look closely at the bright reflected sunset on the windows, and yet just overhead hangs a rack of rolling storm clouds. I don't know why, but the sky was split in half today - one side of nice, serenity and another of utter chaos. Made a short movie of my sand dollar moving through the sand today! Sand dollars are echinoderms, closely-related to starfish, sea urchins and sea cucumbers. Nice to hear from you Dopey!

Saturday, May 30, 2009. Baked Rainbow Trout with Dill and Caviar Sauce. Rainbow trout, 300-400g each (each trout serves 2-3). Heavy cream / creme fraiche / white pasta sauce. Clean out rainbow trout, and marinate with rock salt. Wash off excess rock salt, and stuff belly with 3-4 sprigs of fresh dill and 1-2 cloves of garlic.
