Thursday, December 22, 2011. Victoria's Grandparents were very pleased with this portrait of their Parisian Granddaughter. They plan to give it to the parents of this precious girl on Christmas. The painting is now in France. I do hope the parents like it. I actually did 2 paintings, one in pastel (above) and one in oil. They chose the pastel. Now I get to play with the oil version a little. Friday, February 24, 2012. Poem of the day: William Wordsworth. Travelling- by Williams Wordsworth. This is the spot:—how mildly does the sun Shine in between the fading leaves! The air In the habitual silence of this wood Is more than silent: and this bed of heath, Where shall we find so sweet a resting-place? 8212;let me see thee sink into a dream Of quiet thoughts,—protracted till thine eye Be calm as water when the winds are gone And no one can tell whither.—my sweet friend! Monday, January 30, 2012. 10 things I know about babies:. 1 Newborn babies are the best babies to hold because they don't care who holds them. 2 Babies are soft and sweet and are nice to snuggle. 3 Babies can be very, very loud and they don't care who hears or if it is time to be quiet. 4 Babies are a lot of hard work to take care of and they require your commitment. 5 Babies grow more in the first year than in any other time of their life. 7 You can not spoil a baby. 9 Babies don't care if you're tired.

Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Poem of the Day - Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Sonnet 43 - How do I love thee? By Elizabeth Barrett Browning. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height. My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight. For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love thee to the level of everyday's. Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light. I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;. I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise. Links to this post.

Thursday, October 25, 2012. In August of 2011, I attended my second Bob Burridge workshop at Wenmohs Ranch. I was quite in love and missed being around my sweetheart during the week but I would sit on the porch talking on the phone with him and one afternoon I kept looking at this tree. Do you see it? Do you see what I saw? It's a heart. It struck me so much I had to take a picture of it so I would always remember it. I think it was a sign. Here, I'll help you find it. Links to this post. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Thinking of a plan. 2012. 31 days left of 2011 and I'm thinking about 2012. I have paintings at home that need to be finished and I'm thinking about what kind of project I want to take on in 2012. Because, honestly, I know there won't be much painting in the next month. But, I want to do something different for this blog next year. I'm craving a new blog project that will challenge me creatively but not overwhelm me. I want there to be structure but not too much structure.
