Do Not Open This Book. Well, I have to say that I can't. How fast 2009 has gone by. In January, I joined the 100 Reading Challenge on J. Kaye's book blog. And look forward to what's to come in 2010. I hope to get closer to my goal this next year! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Few of My Favorites. Just One More Page.

Friday, August 28, 2009. Anne Frank Diary of a Young Girl. No matter what I'm doing, I can't help thinking about those who are gone. Monday, June 15, 2009. No lists of things to be done. the day providential to iteself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes. So, he whispered to the sleeping boy. I have you." (p. 54). There's way too much to explain, and so I do the best I can. "It's not God. Just my parents," I say. "I want to sue them for the rights to my. Own body." (p. 29). Just One More Page.

Monday, April 6, 2009. The Most Spectacular Show On Earth. I don't talk much about those days. Never did. I don't know why- I worked on circuses for nearly seven years, and if that isn't fodder for conversation, I don't know what is. Actually I do know why: I never trusted myself.
