http://dugandeb.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Three things in human life are important. The first is to be kind. The. Second is to be kind. And the third is to be kind". - Henry James. Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Floating bag of peas. It needs a shadow to anchor it. Monday, February 10, 2014. Tom's machine done in Tombow pens. We had some demolition done in December and this colorful machine was parked in our backyard after the workday was done. I had great fun with the water soluble Tombow brush pens, but I have since learned they are not. Anothe...

Real Life Journals: The Corrections
http://real-life-journals.blogspot.com/p/corrections.html
I promised to post corrections to Real Life Journals. The change you must make to step 3 is to add the following to the end of the step: "For Australian reversed piano hinge books, use this formula: Make two scores for each folio.". There is also a small measurement correction to make underneath figure 1. You should write, under figure 1, "For Australian reversed piano hinge, measure 2 inches for each signature. Ex. for 5 signatures, measure 2 x 5 = 10 inches.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Real Life Journals: June 2015
http://real-life-journals.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The straight pin and the safety pin came from someone else's midden, a bottom drawer of one of my antique sewing machine cabinets. And the silver stick pin with its really pretty calla lily was tossed in with about a thousand old buttons in a button collection someone gave F and me to use on our wallets and bags. The rectangular object at top right is a Cuisinaire rod from the late 70s. Do they even use Cuisinaire rods in kindergartens these days? Monday, June 29, 2015. Why do I d...

Thursday, May 21, 2015. Mapping a Downtown Walk. On the second spread the map continues at number 3 at top left, goes down College Street, veers right onto Patton, goes left onto Coxe (at the big dot that signifies a red light), then left onto Commerce, ending at the *. The inset map is upside down. N's map is much nicer than mine. We had a lot of fun! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Swannanoa, North Carolina. View my complete profile. Stitch across the top and bottom of the cover as shown above. Make the seam about 1/4" deep. Turn the cover right-side out, using a blunt point, such as a bro...

Real Life Journals: Tomato Hornworm Under Siege Plus a New Collaboration
http://real-life-journals.blogspot.com/2015/08/tomato-hornworm-under-siege-plus-new.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Tomato Hornworm Under Siege Plus a New Collaboration. I found a tomato hornworm chowing down on one of my two tomato plants yesterday. Usually tomato hornworms blend so seamlessly into the colors and shapes of the tomato plant that they're almost invisible, but this one stood out. It was half-covered with small white cocoon-like things that looked like miniature silkworm cocoons. What the heck- -? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Swannanoa, North Carolina.
