Saturday, June 23, 2007. I had a great visit in Perth last weekend with my mother, Uncle Trevor and Oma. Pam was gracious enough to let us stay with her and we had a good time visiting with Mom's cousin Jim and his wife Jean. Doing cryptic crosswords. Oma. Can't see the clue, but once we read it out she was getting the answers faster than the rest of us most of the time. It took a group effort to get through them all. Me and the rose bush - you can just see Oma. Or at least her frame) through the window.

Over two weeks we traveled most of the length of Vietnam, traveling by car, bus, boat, kayak, bicycle, train, and motorcycle. Visiting the museum of Ethnology, which showcases the many ethnic groups in Vietnam. In small noodle shops. Walking the crowded streets looking for handicrafts. Monday, May 14, 2012. Art Car Parade 2012. On Saturday, we met Hope and Jared downtown to watch the Art Car parade. Before the parade got started, Rachel got to make her own art cars at the kids area. Owen watched from his stroller. Rachel really enjoyed doing the craft projects. We all enjoyed watching the art cars go by - there were almost 300 entries in the parade, including cars, bikes and skaters. Watching from the relative comfort of the shade.
