Travel Fun with Wes and Annette

Sunday, August 16, 2009. Last week, Wes and I celebrated our fourth anniversary with a trip to Fredericksburg. Was founded by German settlers in 1846 and still maintains a lot of German character. It is also the birthplace of Admiral Chester Nimitz, Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Pacific Forces in World War II. The National Museum of the Pacific War is in Fredericksburg. Despite the considerable distance from the Pacific. We started our time in Fredericksburg. The rest of our time in Frederickburg. We ex...

Travel Fun with Wes and Annette: January 2007

http://wesandannette.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 31, 2007. A Walk Around Kowloon. On Saturday, we decided to actually leave Hong. Kong Island to have a look around on the Kowloon side. Also, Annette was in search of a dress for the upcoming annual ball (no luck in Kowloon, but did alright in Wan Chai. On Sunday). We have been to Kowloon many times - to watch the lights and do some shopping in the markets. Our trips do not usually take us very far from TST. The area just across the harbor. How much is that doggie. When we were finishe...

Travel Fun with Wes and Annette: April 2007

http://wesandannette.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 16, 2007. Annette's Visit to London (Part III) - Go West Young Man [and Woman]. On Friday morning, we rented a car and drove west. At first we were considering spending 2 days in the Cotswolds. But decided we were feeling a bit more adventurous. So, we just kept driving. We stopped for lunch in Bristol - visited their lovely cathedral and had a nice walk around. Then, we went on to Wales and decided to stay in Cardiff ( Caerdydd. We ended the day with a stop at a pub for dinner and then Ann...

Travel Fun with Wes and Annette: July 2007

http://wesandannette.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 11, 2007. After the fun times in Scotland, Annette headed on a flight to Frankfurt, arriving around midnight, where she was only expecting to be greeted by a sleepy Angela but was instead greeted by Angela, Claudia and Werner who happily drove her back to Kaiserlautern. Awaking in the Seehotel. The next morning, Angela and Annette ate a very good (late) breakfast and then headed out with Daddy to do some shopping and driving around in the city. Lunch was a very nutritious. After a day of ...

Travel Fun with Wes and Annette: June 2007

http://wesandannette.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, June 23, 2007. I had a great visit in Perth last weekend with my mother, Uncle Trevor and Oma. Pam was gracious enough to let us stay with her and we had a good time visiting with Mom's cousin Jim and his wife Jean. Doing cryptic crosswords. Oma. Can't see the clue, but once we read it out she was getting the answers faster than the rest of us most of the time. It took a group effort to get through them all. Me and the rose bush - you can just see Oma. Or at least her frame) through the window.

Travel Fun with Wes and Annette: December 2007

http://wesandannette.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 06, 2007. This slide show traces our travels through Vietnam. Over two weeks we traveled most of the length of Vietnam, traveling by car, bus, boat, kayak, bicycle, train, and motorcycle. Visiting the museum of Ethnology, which showcases the many ethnic groups in Vietnam. In small noodle shops. Walking the crowded streets looking for handicrafts. Watching a traditional water puppet show. Drinking Vietnamese coffee, strong with lots of sweetened condensed milk. Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

Wes' Blog (Working Title): March 2005

http://whereiswes.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html

Wes' Blog (Working Title). Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Tuesday, March 22nd. Cabrillo National Monument, near San Diego, California. Here follows the account of the best (and most important) decision I've ever made (Ok, Annette had a part in it too). You can read it if you like, or else you can just enjoy the photo of us, the happy couple. Everything was set as Annette and I traveled to Louisiana to see her family. We had a fun weekend there visiting with her parents and riding bikes on the Tammany Trace.

Annette and Wes plus Three: October 2013

http://annetteandwes.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Oma and Opa Come to Town. Oma and Opa came to visit last weekend so they could watch the kids for us while we did a triathlon on Sunday (more on that later). Most of the weekend was really fun :). Look who is so proud to be sitting up. He also loves to stick out his tongue. Saturday morning, we spent some quality time at the Children's Museum. Of course, they had a pumpkin patch! Henry was less enthused about it this time. The zoom in camera was particularly fun. Here is the ...

Annette and Wes plus Three: May 2012

http://annetteandwes.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 14, 2012. Art Car Parade 2012. On Saturday, we met Hope and Jared downtown to watch the Art Car parade. Before the parade got started, Rachel got to make her own art cars at the kids area. Owen watched from his stroller. Rachel really enjoyed doing the craft projects. We all enjoyed watching the art cars go by - there were almost 300 entries in the parade, including cars, bikes and skaters. Watching from the relative comfort of the shade. Jared is the most fun ever! Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

Just my thoughts and opinions on a variety of subjects from everyday life to religion and politics. Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Wintley Phipps - Amazing Grace. One of the most magical moments in gospel came when Wintley Phipps, the Grammy-winning Trinidadian, paused during a concert to talk about the history, meaning and power of the Negro spirituals and how all of them are based on "just the black notes" on the piano. Wes' Blog (Working Title): Redistricting Game

http://whereiswes.blogspot.com/2007/06/blog-post_20.html

Wes' Blog (Working Title). Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Just wanted to pass this on - The Redistricting Game. This game effectively explains the issues concerning redistricting, and it is kind of fun to boot. Judging from the gerrymander-looking districts in Texas,. It looks like legislators could stand to learn a lesson in creating fair districts. From the explanation on the FairVote page, it sounds like the Democrats had it coming to them:. I guess give the census figures to the computer, set basic guideli...

Polymer Magic and other random thoughts. Tuesday, October 16, 2007. Hot and spicy move. Angela's move into her new apartment was going well. I even recorded a video Saturday morning. And then we had a minor conflagration of polymers and a gas stove. But it is getting cleaned currently. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hattiesburg, MS, United States. A&W with baby make 3. Monday, June 30, 2014. Oma, Opa, Mommy, Daddy, Landon, and Colton walked over to an outdoor museum fundraiser. Colton liked the tractors so much, but could only sit on this particular one. He totally plays the farmer role with his honey stick (looks like hay in the pictures) hanging out of his mouth.
