Friday, November 9, 2012. So, as I said in my last post, my cousin is here visiting. She likes to come every year (for the past three years) to Hawaii to visit us around Halloween and the beginning of November. This year, we decided that she needed to experience another island and not just Oahu all the time. We've been there and done that! Just after the color run, we sped home all colored and sweaty to shower and finish packing. We had a plane to catch in just a few hours. To Hilo, here we come.

Saturday, August 4, 2012. Our New Favorite Island Excursion. A few months ago, Wes went up to the Kaneohe Bay Marine base and applied for his boating license. With this, we can rent a pontoon boat for four hours and ride around in the Kaneohe Bay. My parents have just about done everything they possibly could on Oahu. I feel better this visit because we all went to the Big Island. (See earlier post.) But, one thing we haven't done on Oahu is rent a pontoon boat. Today was the day! Oh Captain, my Captain.

We set out for Chincoteague for a beach and pony visit. From Richmond, we traveled through three underwater tunnels as we drove to Virginia's Eastern Shore. Our hotel has a Chincoteague pony that you can visit. Here is Abbie and Sophie with Lightning. The Assateague lighthouse was built in the 1860s. We climbed to the top of the light house.
