And to my surprise, there are no polar bears in Antarctica, only in the Arctic Circle, aka the North Pole. Antarctica, I have learned, is six times colder than the Arctic and only a few animals really live there: the leopard seal, weddell seal (which is so good natured humans can easily approach them! Sunday, July 10, 2011. Grammy Lisa and PaPaPa came for a visit this past week, and we had a lovely and eventful time. Grammy Lisa, Anna and I went to Holiday World where Anna was tall enough to ride the Watube. So we rode it three times and then other slides like 30 times. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. The night before her birthday, still 2. Happy Birthday, Anna! She got to open a present left behind by PaPaPa and Grammy Lisa in the morning, an animal jigsaw puzzle. Then Mike took her to Chucky Cheese's for lunch! He said she didn't know how to play most of the games, but there was a purple coach with horses there, so that was all she needed to be most contented. It's a mound of pink gloriousness! We all sang "Happy Birthday" and then. She blew out all her candles with one breath.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Here are some recent fun clips and pics. Jack was listening to a story in Kindergarten when he came to school with me one day. She worked so hard and she finally jumped and grabbed the ring. This is a video of Jack saying "Anna" at the beginning and ending. Monday, January 24, 2011. This Ain't No Tex-Mex. Open Seas. Fresh Air. Mexico! Here are some pictures from our vacation (which we have been looking at longingly):. This is the 11th deck where we headed to have lunch before departing from Tampa. Up ahead is the red jogging path I ran on when we were in the middle of the ocean. Yeah, I ran a mile in the middle of the Gulf. Did that just blow your mind? So long, Tampa! You had the lamest Ramada ever. Mike thinks this is a goofy picture of him but I like it.

Friday, September 17, 2010. September has been busy busy. Anna and I started back at school which we have both been thoroughly enjoying. She is now in the 3s class and she really likes her new teachers. She has made some new friends, too: a girl she builds sandcastles with and a boy she wants to marry. What? I tried to pass it off nonchalantly, but she was pretty insistent so then it came down to, "Adults get married and kids get to play and be friends." Yikes. She cracks me up! My sweet baby boy.
