Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. It was funny to see their reactions to the process. Some a bit nervous, some absolutely loving the feeling of fresh teeth. After the brushing lesson we moved inside and had a Q&A session. Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Monday, January 10, 2011. Looking Back on the Break PT. 2. Our tents at The Haven Lodge after Day 1 of Rafting. On the bank of the Nile after the 2nd day of rafting. Here are some more pictures from rafting! It was coming from the church we would end up going to on Christmas day. The place was amazing. Christmas day was interesting! I’m not really sure, I left around the 4 HOUR MARK! New pastor comes up? View from outside my room in Sipi Falls. I have gro...

Notes from Abroad: Random Facts

http://www.wesbuchman.blogspot.com/2010/12/random-facts.html

Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Thursday, December 16, 2010. So I started wondering how far I traveled to make my dentistry career a reality. Although I have gone many more miles emotionally and spiritually, I figured the round trip from Rwanda to schools and home would be pretty significant. According to my calculations. All of the traveling there and back totaled 19,730 miles. That is like traveling from New York to LA 8 times! My feet touched 3 continents and 7 states!

Notes from Abroad: Over a Month...

http://www.wesbuchman.blogspot.com/2011/03/over-month.html

Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Thursday, March 3, 2011. I sincerely apologize. I actually have about 3 blog posts lined up to put in but am missing a couple pieces to complete them. So, in the interest of putting something of substance, here are two quotes I find interesting. I do not agree with all of Brennan Manning's words, but these were good. Because God has signaled the movement and offered it his presence and his promise.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Friday, November 26, 2010. God gets glory not from our heroic exertion but from our reliance upon his strength—when we serve as one who serves with the strength which God supplies. My harness is easy and my burden is light.". Sunday, November 21, 2010. To the Northern Province of Rwanda. 9th and 10th Science classes with volcano behind us. Jean-Domason, Me, Desire. Blayne passed out hats and noisemakers for his bday. Notes from Abroad: October 2010

http://www.wesbuchman.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Sunday, October 24, 2010. Plane food really isn't all that bad, either. I enjoyed the chicken in rice while flying over Africa. The cucumber salad was subpar, though. Then the cheese canoli or whatever it was, wasn't bad when leaving Brussels. The ham sandwich wasn't bad toward the end of that flight either. Customs takes a lloooong time as well. Mainly just the lines you have to wait in. None of the actual processes took that much time. Hours" he says&#4...

My last week here has been a whirlwind, emotional, wonderful, hard week. I am ready to be an Amurrican again, but Rwanda has stolen a large part of who I am and that has become so evident to me these past few days as I have said my goodbyes. Most beautiful view ever! Faith that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father is this: To visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. James 1:27. The Circle of Life. I totally would have named this blog post “Nants ingonyama bagithi baga, sithi uhm ingonyama,” if it weren’t for the fact that I’m pretty sure you all have heard these words, but have never in your lives seen them written out.
