Wesley Seminarian

Friday, July 21, 2006. So, as I wandered through the stacks of books for fall classes in Cokesbury, it occurred to me that new students will be here soon. I know Wesley has changed a lot over the past couple of years, and probably that trend will continue. So what I'm wondering is, what do people think? Has it been good, bad or ugly? Are there new or potential students who see this blog, and do you have a comment about why you are coming, or want to come to Wesley? Posted by k at 6:34 AM. This summer I'm...

Wesley Seminarian: February 2006

http://wesleysem.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 24, 2006. I'm not sure this even needs an intro other than saying it isn't a joke, but it's funny in a tragic white boy Christian rap kind of way. Enjoy. Wesley Seminarian: January 2006

http://wesleysem.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 31, 2006. What an active freaking campus! I've sat in on planning meetings where students were asked for suggestions about how Wesley should change in it's architectural makeover and been reminded that "Wesley does not seek to become an institution unto itself." The administration is very keen in operating a Pastor farm and serving the greater church (which is good, IMHO, although tough to do when so many students live full-time on campus this year). fivestepsdown: living the questions of faith: December 2005

http://fivestepsdown.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Fivestepsdown: living the questions of faith. Thursday, December 29, 2005. It seems that I only get one post per season of the Church lately. I've been wondering for some time why theological schools require students to take finals in the midst of, dare I say, the most important season of our church year. Adventing our lives, preparing the way of the Lord.and what are seminarians doing? How would the development of future leaders be enriched? Posted by Chett Pritchett at 9:57 PM. Fivestepsdown: living the questions of faith. Wednesday, August 09, 2006. The way I've been feeling lately, you'd wonder if I'm 18 years old and preparing to leave for college. You might even think I'm moving to a new city, or that I'm getting a divorce. Two major transitions are happening in my life. Since I'm in the midst of transitions, it's difficult for me to even recognize how they are occurring. So, I go into these transitions feeling a little bittersweet - this type of transition will be awkward ...

Fivestepsdown: living the questions of faith. Saturday, October 29, 2005. I've been in Houston since Thursday night. I can't really tell you why I'm here, but I am. I guess part of it is to be in prayer with Beth Stroud and her family. I guess part of it is to get out of Washington, DC. I guess part of it is to have a time of retreat so that I can read, pray, and think more clearly. Posted by Chett Pritchett at 10:37 AM. Sunday, October 23, 2005. Life at the Rectory. Fivestepsdown: living the questions of faith. Wednesday, March 08, 2006. Are you a Red-letter Christian? A recent interview on Nashville radio with Jim Wallis. Prompted the Jewish-identified talk show host to ask, "Are you on of those Red-letter Christians? You, know, the kind that believe the words in red in the New Testament?
