R n R's Happy Place. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Alabama, Part 2 (Opelika). Got in to Opelika (twin city to Auburn, Alabama for those who didn'tknow). Our first day was full of play outdoors. Amy and S have several parks they go to. This one was especially for smaller kids. You can tell S has been there. When we pulled into the parking lot and she saw the park equipment, she squealed with joy and start clapping her hands. S welcomed us into the house and was happy to see us - see the twinkle in her eyes?

My brother Carl is now the owner and caretaker of "camp". He and his wife Ginny have improved upon the simple cabin Mom and Dad built over the years making it an enjoyable place to spend time (minus the mosquitoes). R n R's Happy Place. Sunday, May 8, 2011. Juneau Alaska Mendenhall Glacier Part Five. From this view, you can see the mountain to the left of the glacier in the background. In the foreground, there are ponds and creeks that resulted from the rocks, boulders and other stuff scraping the ground when the glacier was this far up. This view is a good shot of the light blue color of the glacier's lake, still with frozen top around parts of it and the darker color of the pond at the beginning of our trail.

R n R's Happy Place. Friday, August 17, 2012. Newest Member of Our Family. Tessa and Isaac welcomed the newest member of the family on July 28th, a BOY. We now have a grandson. We know girls. We'll have to have to study up on what to do with a boy. :). We spent two weeks with the Kuykendalls helping out, playing with his older sister, and holding him. We would like to thank them for hosting us for so long. 7 lb 1 oz bundle of joy. Meet the newest member of the family:. Happy to be spending time outside.

R n R's Happy Place. Saturday, December 31, 2011. Pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable. The toy was a big "hit". Bug had some styling hair. (Daddy gave her this hairdo. Sang songs with Tia and Grandma. We visited a local park. Did a little climbing. And a little riding. Went to the zoo. Bug helped Daddy push Mommy around the zoo. Saw some big tortoises.
