Since we will be asking our church planting teams to at least raise some support, I have also agreed to (with God's help) raise my own support. This is a time consuming and challenging ordeal. To date I have raised 1/3rd of my support. So the pressure is on. Would you pray about making a monthly or yearly financial commitment? Large and small gifts become great gifts in the hands of God. Please send your tax deductible gifts to:.

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Maybe He is Right? His words to me, not exact, but this is what I heard, "Get a Job and still do what God is calling you to do in creating a Disciple-making Movement and prove your commitment to it." Those words haunt me. Am I committed without being bi-vocational? Or is the bi-vocational thing a real test of my metal and faith and determination? His thoughts are timely since we are where the rubber meets the road. We have several guys, they are called and ready. We are at a crit...

Friday, June 30, 2006. Hoops, red tape and road blocks. Has anyone noticed that Americanized Chistianity is full of hoops, red tape and roadblocks? You get a good candidate and they are ready to roll and then the red tape checks and balances of the institution start engaging. Am I wacked out or have others been in bondage to systems and the thinking of men? Give me your thoughts. Posted by Bob Carder @ 11:30 PM. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Am I really that off track? Sunday, April 30, 2006. Just one family on our street goes to Church. Just one family on our street in a million streets across America. I know it's not about going to Church. I know people long for friendship and relationships. But how many of my neighbors and your neighbors actually invest time in these wonderful people? We took our Mormon neighbors out for pizza the other day. It was a fun time. I wonder how many "Christians" have taken the time to know them? What will we do about our neighbors? Pasto...

We are spending Thanksgiving with our daughter Melissa and son-in-law Matt here in Huntington Beach. It is a beautiful place and we are very blessed to spend time with the kids since they were unable to travel back home. We give thanks to God in so many wonderful ways for so many things. Our safety while away. For our time away as...

Tuesday, February 28, 2006. More on the Church. I read Rob Bell's "refreshing" first book, "Velvet Elvis" on the plane out to Portland yesterday. It was a refreshing and quick read. Refreshing and quick but not easy. I found myself being challenged by the freshness of the Gospel in a way I had not yet been exposed. I'm challenged but also encouraged greatly. What a refreshing approach to ministry. Whew! For me this is what I mean by "refreshing.". Posted by Bob Carder @ 4:06 PM. Sunday, February 26, 2006.

Monday, July 31, 2006. Is it possible to speak to the needs (expectations) of the American Church and also be relevant at the same time? Are they separate messages? One speaks to the needs of the already reached while excluding a message to the unreached. Is it possible to speak to the reached and a relevant message to the unreached at the same time? I know I am pushing it -but wil someone tell me I am not crazy? Tell me, is it even possible? Posted by Bob Carder @ 10:39 PM. Sunday, July 30, 2006. I cann...

Monday, March 27, 2006. Is it Time for a New Testament Church in America? As we attempt to begin a multiplication revolution in St. Louis and Kansas City our goal is not to just plant churches. What? You heard me right! What would happen in America if going to Church wasn't the main goal and making disciples was? What would happen if every believer in America today began investing in someone who needed Jesus? What would happen if everyday we prayed for God to give us a discipling opportunity? We realized...

Monday, January 30, 2006. Happy Birthday To Me. It's my birthday tomorrow -January 31st. I give God praise for a wonderfully supportive and faithful wife (pretty too). For two grown children who along with their spouse love Jesus. For God's provision in meeting our needs. I'm excited about my helathy church coaching opportunities in South Dakota and Oregon. I give my life to God in complete obedience and submission. Posted by Bob Carder @ 4:14 PM. Prayer Letter for Week of January 30. The developement of...

Thursday, August 31, 2006. New Wine Skin or? When we speak of working with God to create a new wine skin that makes disciples who make disciples I am wondering. For a disciple-making movement to be free to go wherever God wants it to go am I making a mistake to confine her to a new wine skin? A movement of God cannot be contained to a wine skin. Are you with me? Posted by Bob Carder @ 7:23 PM. What is a Disciple? What is a disciple? Someone asked this in a blog post at another site today. Hummm! Come on ...
