Portland, etc!: My life!
http://beckyinportland.blogspot.com/2009/08/my-life.html
Thursday, August 13, 2009. It has been months and months since I have posted anything on my blog! It is now the middle of August, '09 and I can't believe I have been in Portland for over a year! Things have been a little crazy lately, to say the least. At the end of July I got done helping to teach a 5-week literacy summer school program for kindergartners/1st graders. Boy, was it intense! I connected with a lot of the kids and really enjoyed it by the end. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Portland, etc!: June 2008
http://beckyinportland.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 19, 2008. So, I've been in Portland almost 3 weeks now and I am absolutely loving it! My roommate arrived about a week after I did and we've been exploring the city non-stop. There are so many things to do that I feel like I'll never be able to see and do everything! Which is a far cry from Kansas). Here are some of my favorite finds so far: Voodoo Doughnuts. They're open 24 hours! A restaurant up on the 30th floor! Amazing view of the entire city! And, of course Powell's Books.
