Where necessary, we will work with Newcastle City Council Social Services department to provide the appropriate care package for the individual service user. In early 2008, the Trustees recognised that, whilst West End Befrienders provided an excellent befriending service to its service users, those who moved into care homes became apparently isolated from their communities.
