Thoughts of fishing fill my head

http://www.westfordcomp.com/fishing/index.html

There's always a camera in the boat and catch and release is the rule. Below are some links to pictures of fish I've known and loved over the years. A nine pounder from Quabbin. Some largemouth from here and there. Eight pounder from shore. Dave G. with a five pound smallmouth. Just a stick in the water. Last day for a while. A couple of Stripers from "The River:". Still here in 2006. 2007 and still kickin'. 2008 On the water again. Background photo taken by Dave Gere.

Found Films

http://www.westfordcomp.com/updated/found.htm

The pages below show prints I made from processing film I found in old cameras. You are seeing them for the first time as they were lost by the photographers that took these images. Even the most mundane among us are capable of great things. Ninety nine percent of the worlds most important photographs were taken with unremarkable photographic contraptions. If you enjoy this website and are inclined to do so, please consider donating a dollar or two to. I make no profit from this site.

Eric Plaag’s weblog on photography, literature, and serendipitous discoveries. Finding the Right Photo Book Company. Bull;March 4, 2011 • Leave a Comment. As some of my close photographer friends know, I experimented a few years ago (late 2007) with publishing a collection of my photography,. Now that the insanity of the past year is finally settling down, I’m revisiting. That fellow photographers might find helpful. The review dates to April 2010 but has been updated as of February 2011. Random Camera Blog: June 2015

http://randomphoto.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

My thoughts and activities in photography, camera collecting, current events, and photographic tips. Monday, June 15, 2015. Packing the Camera Bag(s). In a couple of days I'll be leaving for northern Michigan to attend Photostock 2015. Then, the film. I ALWAYS bring more than I will use in 4 days, but who knows what I'll end up shooting? Better to have too much than not enough! Weatherwise, this year may be wet and cool. It doesn't matter though. There will be enough to keep us busy. Links to this post.

My thoughts and activities in photography, camera collecting, current events, and photographic tips. Saturday, March 28, 2015. Lots of stuff to look over. Because the Kiwanis folks have volunteers that look over the items, you are more likely to find that things actually work. It's a good place to browse, but since it is only open on Saturday mornings, it can be quite packed and busy, too. Tom Nighswander, local photographer and Kiwanis volunteer. In the glass case. The Miranda Sensorex II is a beauty.

Random Camera Blog: April 2015

http://randomphoto.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

My thoughts and activities in photography, camera collecting, current events, and photographic tips. Wednesday, April 15, 2015. A few weeks ago I purchased a really nice example of a Miranda Sensorex II SLR at the Kiwanis sale. At $25, how could I not do so? It wasn't until a year later that I received an Exa IIa SLR, which of course, was primitive by comparison. I blame my lack of photographic ascendancy to that turn of events. Links to this post. My thoughts and activities in photography, camera collecting, current events, and photographic tips. Saturday, June 28, 2014. The Envoy was produced in the 1950s in England. It is a fixed focus wide-angle box camera that takes 120 film as well as 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 plates. The wire frame finder is all you need to gauge your composition. The rear part of the finder has parallax correction for close-ups. Since it is fixed focus, your closest focus is achieved with the smallest aperture:. F/11 - 10 - 60 ft.

The average monthly pages views hovers around 5000, which I think is pretty good. The all-time most viewed post is the one about the Argus 75, and the second is a review of the Gakken-Flex. Wow. Through the Past, Into the Future. Saturday, May 16, 2009. Quabbin Reservoir, built by displacing the residents of the four towns of Dana, Prescott, Greenwich and Enfield (as well as several villages) and then damming and flooding the Swift River Valley in Central Massachusetts, is a draw from all compass points. Here's a handy page of Quabbin-related links to assist you on your Swift River Valley travels and explorations. (Updated September 17, 2010). 251 Causeway Street, Suite 600. Metropolitan Boston'...
