Anyway, since we've been here, God has been graciously revealing Himself to us in ways that we have never before seen Him. He and His ways are beautifully perfect, and we have thoroughly enjoyed watching Him do amazing things for us and in us here in Wheaton. We are being reminded constantly that Christ gloriously reigns. Knowing Jesus. there truly is no greater thing. Fort Collins, C...

Magnificare: The Redemptive message in preaching
http://magnificare.blogspot.com/2006/05/redemptive-message-in-preaching.html
Not magnifi-care, (like, I care for my wife), but magnificar-e: (Latin) to magnify, exalt. Monday, May 01, 2006. The Redemptive message in preaching. I've been really thinking about this topic of the redemptive message a lot. My thoughts began after reading chapter 10 of Bryan Chapell's Christ-centered Preaching. Shout To The West: Redemptive Preaching. 2 should we see Christ in every passage or should we aim to preach what the original [OT] author meant? 3 If we preach what the original author meant, sh...

I'm not presuming that anybody reads this, especially since I haven't posted for more than a year and a half, but regardless, sometimes silence begs to be broken. After I graduate (or even if I don't), we are planning to move to Fort Collins, CO. Why? More than all of this, what I am most excited about is that my sweet and beautiful wife is pregnant! I love ...

Magnificare: Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word of God
http://magnificare.blogspot.com/2006/10/jesus-christ-incarnate-word-of-god.html
Not magnifi-care, (like, I care for my wife), but magnificar-e: (Latin) to magnify, exalt. Thursday, October 19, 2006. Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word of God. How has this truth convicted me? Why do I not meditate on the Word Made Flesh, day and night? How could I neglect the One who is full of grace and truth? Yet so often, this is what I do. Think about it, the OT writers delighted. October 22, 2006 8:37 PM. Thanks for the update and the thoughts Gary. We need to get together again soon.

Magnificare: Don't Miss the Point of the Gospel
http://magnificare.blogspot.com/2006/03/dont-miss-point-of-gospel.html
Not magnifi-care, (like, I care for my wife), but magnificar-e: (Latin) to magnify, exalt. Sunday, March 12, 2006. Don't Miss the Point of the Gospel. I have been saved for almost ten years and for the vast majority of my time being a Christian I have missed the point; I didn’t truly understand the Gospel, and I know that there are many people who have lived right by my side thinking the same way that I have thought. We miss it. As long as I was 100% sure that I was going to heaven, I was okay, right?
