L'aventure américaine: November 2015
http://aventureamericaine.blogspot.com/2015_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Benefits of having a kid. So, having a kid is fun and all. But, having a kid is AWESOME at Halloween. Especially when the kid has no opinions about his costume and especially when your last name is Pope and the current Pope happens to be fantastic. Obama would have loved Milo! I deemed Milo's first holiday as a huge success. As a reward, the amazing pizza place next door made me a 10 inch cookie. It came in a pizza box. If you were wondering how long it would take a per...Randa...

Thursday, March 10, 2016. You know what is hard? Keeping a blog and working more than full time and being a mom. Something has to give. It's been the blog. I have so much to share and hope to soon sit down and do it, but until then. Here's baby Milo from month 1 to month 6! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Chaos is Ongoing. The Jochims Fly the Coop. L'aventure américaine: August 2015
http://aventureamericaine.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 19, 2015. We went to Bend this weekend for Bend Brewfest. Last year it was rather a raucous affair and we wanted one last weekend with our friends before hunkering down to work in the final weeks of pregnancy. The morning of Brewfest, we played in the Deschutes River. Randal and I canoed and the rest of the crowd floated. It was great. Maizie swam and swam and Juneau tolerated it. They both looked quite dashing in their life jackets. Saturday, August 8, 2015. So, returning to June.

L'aventure américaine: May 2015
http://aventureamericaine.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 10, 2015. Lets focus on Mom. This Mother's Day is a unique one. It's because this is the last year where I'll focus mainly on my own mom (and now Randal's mom). And next year, I get a new holiday to celebrate. This is the best part of motherhood, right? So, thanks Mom. And thanks to all of those mothers for their valuable lessons: big and small. Little Emerson sporting a VERY cool t-shirt. Hiking in the woods at an old (replica of) a train trestle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lets focus on Mom.

L'aventure américaine: Weekends
http://aventureamericaine.blogspot.com/2016/10/weekends.html
Sunday, October 16, 2016. I've spent the last 24 hours doing mountains of laundry since we've been so busy having fun and hopping around the state. Randal and I took one of the inaugural trips on PenAir from Klamath to Portland to celebrate my birthday and were greeted there by Holly and Brittany (Klamath friends) and Kristi and Emily (high school friends). It was a good time. So good that on Monday, I had a cold and was verrrry tired. It took a week of work to recover. This kid. So cool. Simple theme...

L'aventure américaine: April 2016
http://aventureamericaine.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 23, 2016. We had grand plans to camp this weekend. Sometimes you just have to get away. But, once again, during the weekend we decided to camp, the weather was crummy. (Last time we went anyway. And moved from the tent to the car at 2am. The second night we stayed in a hotel.). So, we're in Klamath this weekend and decided to do a hike instead. Hike #2 was at the newly completed Spence Mountain Trail. Kudos to trail activists in Klamath- this one is beautiful! Sunday, April 17, 2016.

L'aventure américaine: June 2015
http://aventureamericaine.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 14, 2015. It's nearly 6am in the Medford airport and I wish that I could fall asleep as easily as Randal does! We are headed to Boston for a week and I am so ready. We'll play and explore for the first half and the second half, I will attend an obesity medicine conference. I'm excited! Work has been going so well, but as per usual, it's busy! The Blue Zones assessment continues and that is also looking good. It is such a big deal for Klamath and so stinking exciting! The Chaos is Ongoing.

L'aventure américaine: It's autumn already?
http://aventureamericaine.blogspot.com/2016/10/its-autumn-already.html
Sunday, October 2, 2016. I'm not quite sure how summer floated on by. Perhaps it's because I continue to hop through work and perhaps it's because Randal and Milo and I had several adventures, but either way, it's cold here today and the leaves are turning and suddenly it's October. And here's our summer! We went to Nashville for a grad school reunion! Nearly everyone made it and it was a great, inspiring visit. More partners, more kids, and more fun. I LOVE these people. We all had pretty sweet pants.

L'aventure américaine: September 2015
http://aventureamericaine.blogspot.com/2015_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 18, 2015. We're over a week into this parenting thing and I have to say, it is pretty great. A little sleepless - but great. Of course, I do burst into tears about three times a day. Of course, Milo poops countless times per day. Of course, I feel like I leak and he leaks constantly. But I miss him when we're apart for an hour. But I find his facial expressions endlessly amusing. So, I've turned into a sappy, ridiculous mom. Oh geez. First outing of many. Success! Life as we know it.
