Out on a Limb: 10.12
http://erinoutonalimb.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Out on a Limb. The design school diary of one mom with a plan. The good thing about having low expectations is that it's sort of hard to really. Be disappointed or at least surprised when things go south. The past two storms, Hurricane Irene and a freak March '11 storm,. Left most of our friends and neighbors without power for days. But somehow gave my little family a free pass. That said, I believe in Karma. I'm going into this storm stocked up and fully expecting to be without power for days. 2 The bes...

Out on a Limb: 11.12
http://erinoutonalimb.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Out on a Limb. The design school diary of one mom with a plan. A friend of mine has been writing Thankful November posts on Facebook on a pretty regular basis this month. Reading them planted a seed in me. Since Hurricane Sandy hit, I've had a bit of writer's block. My head and heart were anywhere but my blog. It's only in the past week that a bit of normalcy has returned around here, but I know the same cannot be said for so many friends and neighbors who lost so much, so quickly. Happy, silly kids.

Out on a Limb. The design school diary of one mom with a plan. On our first anniversary,. We celebrated our brother and sister-in-law's beautiful wedding in Disney World,. Our second in Cape Cod and our third in Edinburgh, Scotland. We've been fortunate enough to slip away here and there for many of the anniversaries that followed. Honestly, some days are uneventful, messy, expensive and frustrating. Many are fun, exciting and really productive. We are blessed and I am lucky. Erin (Out on a Limb). Is my ...

interior design musings: Yellow Accent Pillows
http://interiordesignmusings.blogspot.com/2011/06/yellow-accent-pillows.html
Just got back in town and wanted to share the pillows I made last week for our family room. If you recall, I was inspired by the color yellow which I posted about here. And decided to freshen up my sofa with some new pillows. Yes, that cute thing in the left corner did proceed to pile her happy self up on top of those freshly made pillows the minute I finished snapping these pictures. Lottie likes to perch there to monitor the backyard for squirrel activity and naps, of course. Buy less fabric - You do n...

Just a Touch of Gray: April 2013
http://justatouchofgray.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 17, 2013. A Tiny Before and After. As I was strolling through TJMaxx a couple weeks ago I saw a little bag of bright green moss. I love anything mossy so I had to pick it up. And let's face it, sometimes a little green can go along way. 65279;. 65279; . Found on Pinterest, unknown source}. Now back to my bag of green. I continued to the back of the store to see what I could find to put my moss in. This little guy appeared. And there you have it. My five minute $11 moss pot project.

a home in the making: November 2012
http://ahomeinthemaking.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Create} diy paper mache tray. Well, this week sort kicked my behind - sooooo busy! So today I thought I'd share with you a quick DIY using paper mache! Did you ever do crafts with paper mache when you were a kid? I remember making this paper mache bead necklace when I was younger. It was all bright colored and crazy. I sort of wish I still had it :). I think it would also make a great corral for keys, phones, etc. I love quick, easy and inexpensive diy projects, don't you? Have a great weekend friends!

I'm submitting this post to the Pinterest challenge, because before Pinterest was all the rage, I had this little project tagged on the site to remember to actually make it. And sure enough, a few weeks later, I actually did! I can't say all my *to make* projects have been successful, or even attempted, but I do love this one. Thanks for stopping by! And, if you'd like to follow me on Pinterest, I can be found here. Did you have a good weekend? I missed you all on Friday! Do you guys do that? First, I ga...
