I haven’t mentioned it here before, but I’ve been slowly working on my Brett Graves Project. In which I’ve been attempting to “supercollect” the cards of Oakland A’s prospect Brett Graves. Why Brett? A page of 2014 Panini Prizm Perennial Draft #8. Although I pursue all Twins player cards, I don’t supercollect any of those players because:. Almost ...

That fact alone makes me feel incredibly old. Everything about the movie captured my imagination. People forget the while Jurassic Park was primarily a sort of horror movie, it also had that first half an hour which was as close as many of us would ever come to complete wonderment. Dinosaurs! Twins Franchise History from American League Park to Target Field. Half-Baked Hall: Home Run Baker. Written by David Jones:. Perhaps envious of Ruth’s fame, Baker bemoaned the “rabbit ball” that made the home run a more frequent occurrence. “I don’t like to cast aspersions,” Baker later confided to a reporter, “but a Little Leaguer today can hit the modern ball as far as grown men could hit the ball we played with.”. 8220;Home Run” admiring his work. Baker’s work has possibly been the most spectacu...

The outfielder taught his version of the spitball to Strickett, who was able to resurrect his season using the new pitch. Walsh, of course, went on to have a lot of success with the pitch. From his SABR bio. Ed Walsh, no doubt chewing elm bark in order to maintain his saliva supply. There is no indication that Walsh...

Enter Ban Johnson, who wanted to end “rowdyism” in his new American League in 1901, and promised umpires who would join his league that he would back them in that endeavor. Tommy Connolly signed on for the inaugural season of American League baseball and became a Hall of Fame umpire with more than a quarter century of service. Though Connolly d...

Music Baseball. Video Games. you know, the important things in life. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Year in Music, 2013: Top 20 Albums. 20 Blue Sky, Black Death - Glaciers. RIYL: Really cool sounding background music. The knock on Blue Sky, Black Death's stuff is that it works best as background music, and Glaciers. Is going to do absolutely nothing to dispel that theory. I really enjoyed the more suite-based approach they went for this time around, though. 19 My Bloody Valentine - m b v. 16 Cults - Static.
