Getting It Off My Chest. A journal about living with breast cancer. October 6, 2010 in Uncategorized. So, it’s been a week since surgery and I’m remarkably fine. The scars are small, the impact not really noticeable, pain has been minimal and I’m mostly back to normal life (not quite to the gym, but almost). Highly, highly recommend it, whether you’re dealing with this or just hope you never do – it’s all about prevention). It’s been helpful, proactive, and hopeful. New territory, indeed. https://gettingitoffmychest2.wordpress.com/2010/08/31/denial-1
Getting It Off My Chest. A journal about living with breast cancer. August 31, 2010 in Uncategorized. I learned a little about how the mind can work a few days after I received my diagnosis. I came home, shocked but not exactly surprised (after the callbacks on the mammogram, and the call from my doctor’s office, “we’d like to see you in 45 minutes” – how could you be surprised! And here is where you can’t entirely trust your brain when it’s suddenly asked to handle BIG news. For quite a few days. Email ...

Mindless musings of a career student. Distracted blogging →. Today is my “day off” from school. it’s not really a day off, but it’s the one day of the week when i don’t. My walk with leila was abruptly ended about two blocks in when she randomly yelped in pain and started hopping on three legs. i carried her home. 8230;unfortunately, i don’t think i should count all of my carpet scrubbing as house cleaning. Current motivation to read the rest is hovering precariously somewhere between slim and none.

Getting It Off My Chest. A journal about living with breast cancer. October 7, 2010 in Uncategorized. 8221;, putting the point on how different I feel, while outwardly appearing totally unremarkable. I haven’t managed to decipher this; I’m not sure where the sense of embarassment comes from. I do think others feel it too – like another breast cancer blogger says. I don't have time for an update now but I am still alive, still sober (I would have had three years in August but I drank on a day last May when I buried my father. I've been continuously sober since though.). I will try to stop in and let folks know what is going on with me if they ever do come by to check anymore. Posted by Redhead Gal at 8:16 PM. It’s kind of astonishing, how different of a viewer I am today than I was ten years ago when Fantastic Four. Came out. I mean, am I more sophisticated as a viewer of movies? Probably not at all. But as a viewer of comic book movies… well, that is. Another thing. I’ve read like 3500 comics from the ’60s and ’70s, and another 800ish in the Ultimate Marvel series. In the modern era. I have definitely formed a lot of opinions and learned a lot of knowledge over those ten years, is what I’m saying. Among many...

Are your dreams important to him and is he willing to help you reach them? Does he make you feel safe, always? Does he treat you kindly? Is it okay for him to tell you when to eat or not to eat even when you’re hungry? When something is yours, for example your hairbrush, is it okay for him to take it?
