There is an African proverb that states, "A calm sea does not make a skillful sailor.". Could that be one facet to why Jesus allows storms in our lives? We are taking a trip to Germany, Switzerland, and Italy this summer. No kids! As a teacher, I took groups of students on exchange trips to Germany every summer.
