My OCA student blog. Project Exploring colour media. April 4, 2014. For this project I have enjoyed experimenting, trying different media. I consider myself lucky to be able to buy all the required materials for this module. To show clearly what each media can do and to serve me in the future as reference, I have created samples from which here I will post a few:. Water soluble pens, pencils, inks and artbars. On each of these samples I have made pen notes about the used materials. April 2, 2014. Now I am...

My OCA student blog. Comments on report No. 1. April 2, 2014. I have received my tutor report for the first assignment of the Drawing 1 module. Full of constructive criticism, the report came across as a wake up call. Working towards a degree requires much more commitment and enthusiasm. I seem to misunderstand hat the course really requires when it comes to certain exercises. The above image is in the course material. This image is what I have produced for the Supermarket shop exercise. Fill in your det...

My OCA student blog. Monthly Archives: April 2014. Exercise Exploring colour media. Project Exploring colour media. April 4, 2014. Inks, art pens and dip pens. Inks are very expressive, have the advantage to be predictable (art pens) and non predictable (dip pens). If soluble, ink is very forgiving, but non soluble inks are permanent and they cannot be easily erased. All mistakes will show through. Pen and wash is a beautiful way of depicting any subject. This is one of my favorite techniques. For this p...

My OCA student blog. Comments on report 1 ( continuation). April 3, 2014. As a result, I will have to redo the assignment pieces, which my tutor advised me to send in the same time with the work for assignment 2. How do I feel about this result? I have felt very sad and even now, ashamed to put this situation in here, making it public. But its better to wake up now than later. Comments on report No. 1. Exploring coloured media →. My OCA student blog. April 2, 2014. This is where I will record my progress as an art student with OCA. I start this to follow on my tutor s advice, to become more organized and present myself as an art student, in a professional way. I hope that this will bring me more than showing how I get on with my work towards the Painting Degree. Hopefully this will be a way to discover my full potential in all the aspects of my life. What I Am... - Homepage
What I Am is What I Am. I am a 40 something Mom of two beautiful little people. They are the most important thing I've ever done. I am a wife, a maid, a house keeper, a chef, a chauffeur, a teacher, a coach and. well, the list goes on. Until now I have not taken the time to be me. This is my site. This is who I am, this is what I see, remember and feel. There is nothing earth shattering here and nothing all that interesting, I'm sure. That being said, here I am.

What I am is what I choose | Choose your destiny
What I am is what I choose Choose your destiny. What I am is what I choose. March 26, 2014. Be your own hero. It is not for nothing that Bollywood movies play up the role of a woman in distress and how most times, the man comes to her rescue. While this trend is changing in current times, what seems to have stuck is the ‘victim’ mindset of the woman, most often, the homemaker. Have we tried letting go of things that bother us to make space for things we want to do? If not, is there a middle path? This po...

A journey into art. Project 4: The Human form. August 11, 2015. Drawing 2 - Investigating Drawing. Part 1 - Exploring Composition. Drawing people is hard because everyone knows what they look like. The viewer may not know quite what is wrong but they do know it is wrong. The brief was to draw two combined body parts, to manage the inter-related elements within a drawing – rhythm, weight, volume and structure. You can see the layers of glue on the ink washed paper.
