Tuesday, August 4, 2015. And thank God for pizza. I've made two pizzas using Better Batter. The first one was ok. The second one (dough prepped, refrigerated several days for a slow rise) felt dense and I didn't really like it, even though I tried to really hard. I tried another flour blend from a new cookbook tonight. This blend was a concoction I whisked together over the weekend that used tapioca and rice flour, potato starch and a few other things. I had high hopes for it. Anyway, back to pizza.

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. July always proves to be a reflective time. I lost a child (many years ago) in July. My mom had a birthday, died and was buried in July. We moved in July. And even this year, a gluten-free order brought another permanent change. I hardly saw it this year- my face was in books for weeks. I did snag a few pictures recently. A blog of recipes I love to bake at home. Friday, 15 July 2016. This is my recipe for chewy chocolate brownies they are so rich I serve them in little bites but they are incredible moreish. 150g Plain Chocolate 70% cocoa preferably. 1 teaspoon of salt. Preheat the oven at 170 degrees C. Break up your pieces of chocolate into a heat proof bowl, add the butter, sugar and salt. Put half a pan of water on to boil. Measure your flour and cocoa powder into a seperate bowl and sift into you melted mixture.
