Thoughts about my latest inspirations. Sunday, October 31, 2010. Characteristics of a good startup team. In mid-October, I attended an SD Forum event in East Palo Alto called Startup SIG: What makes investors invest when it comes to the team? These events tend to be hit or miss in terms of quality. Here are the four main points that I learned. Investors look for a great team that can adapt and make corrections no matter what the market throws at them. These people have discipline, determination, acco...

What Liz Writes: August 2011

http://www.whatlizwrites.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Thoughts about my latest inspirations. Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Easy Fake Ice Cream Made from Frozen Ripe Bananas. I learned from an online query that I could make a fake ice cream-like dessert by whipping up frozen ripe bananas in the food processor. I took 3 ripe bananas, sliced them, and froze them overnight. In the food processor, it takes at least 5 minutes for the bananas to become a creamy state and you have to keep pushing the bananas down in the food processor bowl. Is this crazy or what?

To help with motivation I have enlisted a similarly constructed friend to train with and we have registered under our more aspirational alter ego names (not sure how that stands with the disclaimers we had to sign but nevertheless.). So Coco Lovelady and I, Caresse Speedworthy, will be building up to some hill runs over the next few months. This entry was posted on May 29, 2015. 2 Comments. News of The Twigs.

What Liz Saw | Liz Cookman – travel and nature writer

Liz Cookman – travel and nature writer. General election 2015: The tax accountant’s view on non-doms and tax avoidance. April 12, 2015. I spoke to a tax accountant from one of the Big Four about tax avoidance ahead of next month’s general election. The election is coming. I said, THE ELECTION IS COMING! Over the years, plenty of politicians and parties have attempted to close this loophole, yet none of them have been successful. Why? I spoke to a tax accountant with one of the Big Four.
