I now have 9 months left until my PhD funding runs out, and I start paying additional fees to the University. My plan is to have submitted a thesis by then, but that will require a colossal shift in work habits and a drastic reduction in distractions. This too shall pass. A little tooth. A tiny little tooth. Sometimes we need a reminder of the fleetingness of childhood. For me, it was a little lost tooth. I am not the natural, organic mother I always expected I would be. Until I actually became one, I thought life as a working wife and mother would easy and somewhat glamorous.
