My Spiritual Legacy: BEAUTY FOR ASHES
http://myspirituallegacy.blogspot.com/2008/02/beauty-for-ashes.html
A place to share the stories of my life. Wednesday, February 13, 2008. To those who were part of my past, my memories may surprise you. They have been reframed in light of what I now know about God—that He formed me in my mother’s womb and was always with me, working for my good and to answer my little-girl prayers. They have been reframed with God in the picture. They have been reframed against the backdrop of God’s attributes—who He is. Photo: Spring tulips at Duke Gardens 2005. Louisiana, United States.

My Spiritual Legacy: A Child's Prayer
http://myspirituallegacy.blogspot.com/2007/10/childs-prayer.html
A place to share the stories of my life. Monday, October 29, 2007. My prayers were about to be answered. My eight-year-old grandson was the messenger. One Sunday morning in October, my eight-year-old grandson Braden and I sat across from each other in the reception area of our small church. It was unusual that no one else was in the room with us. Braden, my most affectionate grandchild, reached for a Bible lying in the middle of the round table. I gently wrapped his hand in mine and prayed this simple pr...

My Spiritual Legacy: February 2008
http://myspirituallegacy.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
A place to share the stories of my life. Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Hattie Rogers Broadus is 101 years old today! This picture was taken in 2002. My grandmother Winnie Chatman Mizell, who died in 1982 at age 76, was her first cousin and friend. When MawMaw Winnie was in a nursing home in Gulfport, Hattie, who was older than she, would ride her bike to visit. This is the story she told me about when she had smallpox as a young adult:. 8220;In the 1930s, I was a cashier at the Edgewater Gulf Hotel on th...

My Spiritual Legacy: COURAGE
http://myspirituallegacy.blogspot.com/2008/02/courage.html
A place to share the stories of my life. Tuesday, February 5, 2008. The doctor struggled to look his patient straight in the eyes as he quietly said, “I am afraid that you are in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.”. My mother-in-law stammered, “Are you sure? 8220;Well, I am sure that you have it, but Alzheimer’s can only be definitively diagnosed by autopsy.”. 8220;Well, that’s a little premature! My Spiritual Legacy: September 2007
http://myspirituallegacy.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
A place to share the stories of my life. Friday, September 21, 2007. My grandmother Rosa Green Foil- on her honeymoon in 1924. Rosa Green Foil wrote this as the introduction to a handwritten family history. She was avidly interested in geneology and heritage. She could not only tell you what ancestor married who, but could identify the personality traits and temperaments came into the family line with each union. 8220;US” Our Roots. REMEMBERING THE LORD: November 2012
http://rememberingthelord.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 7, 2012. A Choice to Make. Will the Lord reject forever? And will He never be favorable again? Has His lovingkindness ceased forever? Has His promise come to an end forever? These words expressed despair of the author of Psalm 77 at a dark time in Israel's history. Those things we are to think on, meditate on and base our faith on. The entire Bible is about God revealing Himself to mankind. The answer to every hurt, problem or fear is always found in the character of God! Hi, I'm Lind...

REMEMBERING THE LORD: February 2013
http://rememberingthelord.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 18, 2013. The most amazing fact in the universe is that we can actually know God! God created us with the capacity to know Him. Even the world He created tells us about Him! Psalm 19 says, "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork." Romans 1 says "the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). REMEMBERING THE LORD: August 2012
http://rememberingthelord.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 17, 2012. Asaph, the author of Psalm 77. As we saw in the previous post, the author of Psalm 77 was in a dark place. In verses 7-9 he expresses his deep despair. Will the Lord reject forever? And will He never be favorable again? Has His lovingkindness ceased forever? Has His promise come to an end forever? Has God forgotten to be gracious. Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion? Then I said, 'It is my grief. That the right hand of the Most High had changed.'". He knew God's character...
