Bear With Us: A-Caroling We Will Go!
http://bearwithus4.blogspot.com/2012/12/a-caroling-we-will-go.html
Sunday, December 2, 2012. A-Caroling We Will Go! We've barely turned the calendar page over to December, but the holiday festivities have already started! On Wednesday night, my partner and I took our class (plus our own kids) to an outdoor shopping center that actually- get this- PAYS classes and children's groups to go caroling through their stores! And then she'd start looking for the right page. She followed along as best she could, and chuckled when we came out of one restaurant as she said, "I...

Bear With Us: What's More Frightening?
http://bearwithus4.blogspot.com/2013/01/whats-more-frightening.html
Sunday, January 13, 2013. The following creepy crawly creature is perched outside (that is totally my favorite word in this sentence) our front door. The picture doesn't really do it justice; this thing is about as big as my palm and looks like something Bear Grylls would encounter and possibly (ugh) cook as a campfire dinner in the wilderness. We have no idea what it is, but the girls had the following comments:. Ellie: "I think it's a ranch bug." (Yeah, I dunno what that means, either.). I'm a 32-year-...

Bear With Us: Catching Up: Holiday Pics
http://bearwithus4.blogspot.com/2013/01/catching-up-holiday-pics.html
Sunday, January 6, 2013. Catching Up: Holiday Pics. So here it is, January 6, and I haven't posted anything here for over a month. "Update blog weekly" is definitely going on the resolutions list! Keira and I have had three glorious weeks of vacation from school, and I have to say I'm dreading taking her back to school tomorrow. Between what happened in Newtown and just wanting to have my #1 girl around as much as possible, I'd much rather keep her home with me! One night, we had a Grinch dinner. Ellie a...

Bear With Us: August 2012

Monday, August 20, 2012. Memory Card Clearance: Everything Must Go! My camera's gigantic memory card is officially full, which means I need to upload some of the videos that are taking up all the space! Or, you know.some really clever introduction and seamless way of making all these random videos flow together. When I said she had just turned 3, the lady paused and then said, "And she's reading already? We have that book at home and she makes us read it to her all the time. She just knows it by hear...

Bear With Us: Um, doctor?
http://bearwithus4.blogspot.com/2010/09/and-we-wonder-why.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. Keira brought this home from preschool the other day. Apparently, they're studying body parts, and this is "a guy with all of his bones.". Bear and I are highly disturbed by the number of bones that appear to be inside his stomach (what is this guy EATING? And the lack of bones in his apparently-useless left arm.and that's just for starters. September 19, 2010 at 8:35 AM. Scary and cute at the same time LOL. Visiting from No Time For Flash Cards :). Thats so funny :). Instru...

Bear With Us: January 2013
http://bearwithus4.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. The past few weeks have made it clear that I'm well on my way to becoming obsolete already. The girls are picking up new skills and barreling through mini rites of passage like crazy! First of all, Keira is bucking for my job, big-time. She's practically a teacher and a mom already! I'll button your coat.". You can tell Kiwi is a pro at the big sister/mini Mommy thing by how much Ellie adores her. Kindergarten drop-off looks like a scene from The Notebook. 1) If you want a frien...

The Metoyers: Easy Peasy!
http://metoyer2.blogspot.com/2013/04/easy-peasy.html
This I Promise You. My Love Forever and Always! Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Just a quick note in between assignments! Ya, so it might have been me all along! After my last post we re-established her new (old) bedtime routine. Story (3 to be exact). Except, now she is climbing into a "big girl bed". For four long- - very long- - weeks I fought Bostyn, but always gave in rather quickly. I gave her the option of going to bed and didn't ever follow through and put my foot down. Four Men and a Lady. Awesome Inc...

Bear With Us: March 2013
http://bearwithus4.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Worlds Cutest Personal Assistant. Ellie and I went grocery shopping yesterday, and on the way she decided she wanted to make her own grocery list. Thanks to having a smarty-pants reader for a big sister (and maybe partly from having a teacher mommy, though they seem to learn more from PBS Kids than from me! She's getting pretty good at sounding out words already. She asked lots of questions, like, "What makes the /ch/ sound? Or, "What comes after the e? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
