Eat Your Heart Out: Purple Hull Pea Wonder
http://eatzies.blogspot.com/2009/07/purpple-hull-pea-wonder.html
Eat Your Heart Out. Friday, July 3, 2009. Purple Hull Pea Wonder. A couple of weeks ago I stopped in at Dilorio's. And couldn't help but buy more than one of nearly everything home grown they had. Including a big bag of fresh purple hull peas. So, how did they turn out? First, rinse the peas well under cold water. Chop up 3-4 pieces of bacon per pound. Cook the bacon on low-medium heat until brown. Add the peas and cold water to cover. Simmer for about 20-30 minutes until done. A few of my favorite things.

I found over at Tasty Kitchen. You haven't had it?
