Starting Now: August 2009

Friday, August 21, 2009. What Is It You Really Like To Do? Friday, August 21, 2009. I just saw 'Julie and Julia' tonight with my family, and I (along with every other reviewer ever) loved it. I've never disliked a movie that had Meryl Streep in it, and I thought Amy Adams was fantastic as Julie Powell, a sort of pathetic, messed up woman who needs a project to cling to. Oh, I don't know. I like to read? I could review books I suppose, but the thought of that causes an involuntary eye roll. You should...

Starting Now: Moras About Me
http://startingnowtkg.blogspot.com/2009/12/moras-about-me.html
Monday, December 14, 2009. Monday, December 14, 2009. Why do I torture myself? To hear myself think. My job makes me laugh. I will write a book someday. Ring, wrap and repeat. Your sad life is not my fault. Wrap your own damn gifts. Lines at post office. Christmas carols on a loop. No one is home yet. Turn on all the Christmas lights. Wait and watch the door. Shop online and blog. Scour Craigslist for sane roommate. Hope the Celtics win. Made a wish last night. On a shooting star, from bed. Follow me on ...

Hot Child In the City: "Blog/Write"
http://hotchildinthecitytkg.blogspot.com/2009/05/blogwrite.html
Hot Child In the City. Monday, May 11, 2009. Monday, May 11, 2009. 12:48 pm And so the countdown begins. Even though it's Senior Week, I'm trying to be productive. The nights are jam-packed, but while most seniors are spending their days sleeping off hangovers, I've got a to-do list to attend to. It goes a little something like this. Everyday, the list contains the following:. Read for 30 min. (magazine or book. I alternate.). Sun for 30 min. (don't want to be pasty at graduation.). Pack for 30 min.

Hot Child In the City: "Wake up!"
http://hotchildinthecitytkg.blogspot.com/2009/05/wake-up.html
Hot Child In the City. Friday, May 1, 2009. Friday, May 1, 2009. 5:06 pm Free time? Oh Sweet. Jesus. I start to panic. I haven't read this speech in weeks! Slowly and shakily, I go to the front of the room and begin to give the speech. I'm sweating and my hands are shaking. Wake up, wake up. Oh, please wake up. Finally, he lets me go. I grab my bag and run out of the classroom, down the hallway, and out of COM, flip-flops thwacking. I stand outside in the sunlight, squinting up at the COM building. Linma...

meet me at the mirror.: The lowest lows, the highest highs.
http://meetmeatthemirror.blogspot.com/2009/07/lowest-lows-highest-highs.html
Monday, July 27, 2009. The lowest lows, the highest highs. In return for his friendship, I am providing Joe with a necessary education on life. Can you believe he's never heard of Missed Connections? Last night, he and I went to see Incubus. It was my second time seeing them. The first was about 5 years ago in Zurich. Joe and I people watched (or, more accurately, made fun of everyone in the parking lot). Here is where our education began. We learned who The Duke Spirit are. And see if she responds. ...

Share Your Child’s Story. December 8, 2008. Mittens for your feet. A few weeks ago my daughter who is 13 and exceptionally bright was sitting in the kitchen putting on toe socks. If you dont know what these are they are like gloves for your feet. Each toe has an individual spot to go in. I walk into the kitchen and she says you know what they should invent? Mittens for your feet. Um yeah Sarah, I think they already have those, they are called socks. Filed under: toe socks. Page of Funny Kid Logic Stories.
