The applicant must live in North Yorkshire. The applicant must be aged 16. The applicant requires a form of transport to enable them to travel to employment, training or education. The daily journey must be a practical distance for a moped. There is no suitable alternative form of transport available. The applicant must have a provisional driving licence. During the loan period candidates are encouraged to save up for their own transport to maintain access to the workplace.

How it Works

If your application is successful you will get a moped for up to six months after you have completed your Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). Safety equipment helmet, gloves, protective jacket, waterproof trousers and a reflective vest is provided. Insurance, tax and servicing are all covered by the scheme. The rider is required to make a weekly contribution.
