FAQ by Scott Leverenz. Where did Traprock originate? In the 1920's, the New York architect George S Chappell wrote a trilogy of books under the pseudonym Dr. Walter E Traprock. These books were written in the first person about (his) various adventures. Why a Comic Strip? Jay Amicarella, Writer. Jay started writing with vim and vigor in high school. A few years later, Jay started writing a comic strip about the crew and customers of a fictitious restaurant called Bentley's, based on Jay's experiences at the time as a manager working for Coco's Famous Hamburgers. The strip was later renamed Leftovers. An avid reader and Civil War history buff, Jay lives in a suburb of Portland, Oregon with his teenage daughter. Scott Leverenz, Cartoonist. All he wants to do!

Beetroot juice 'boosts stamina'. Nitrates seem to be the key ingredient in beetroot. Drinking beetroot juice boosts stamina and could help people exercise for up to 16% longer, a UK study suggests. A University of Exeter team found nitrate contained in the vegetable leads to a reduction in oxygen uptake - making exercise less tiring.
