Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth. Psalm 86:11. Tuesday, January 29, 2013. We have had a full, and busy, past couple of weeks. Matthew completed Air Assault School. Here are some pictures we took of our activities this past weekend and celebrating the end of Air Assault School. It was a beautiful Saturday, and Matthew built some shelving for our garage. This is William's daddy face. Whoa It's daddy under that hat! Playing while daddy works. In a very small room. On the menu: grille...

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth. Psalm 86:11. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. I can't believe William is 6 months old. It's true what they say - it goes by quickly. But don't let that adorable dimpled grin fool you. Six months has brought with it a surge of unhappiness, irritability, whining.things we *think are related to more teeth coming in. But who knows. Something about Halloween makes it a little more ok to walk up to a stranger's door at night to introduce yourself. Found the...

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth. Psalm 86:11. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Fall and First Bites. Williams first solid food: spaghetti squash. Date: Monday, September 24, 2012 (almost 5 mos old). I didn't set out to start solids, per se, with William. I had been thinking about it and wondering when would be the right time. Our pediatrician said we could start, but whose in a hurry when you have the capacity to make liquid gold? Ability to sit assisted upright - check. 3:00 pm - nu...

Footsteps: Meeting Jack

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth. Psalm 86:11. Friday, November 22, 2013. I could not wait to fly into Greenville, SC, to see my best friend Steph and her newest little addition, Jack Christopher Robnett. He was the most relaxed baby I have ever seen. That's the trend with the Robnetts' babies thus far. they come out super relaxed and content with everything in life. What a gift, right? That is such good news for mommas traveling with toddlers. Glow stick bathtub time. The swarm w...

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth. Psalm 86:11. Sunday, December 16, 2012. It really is starting to feel more like home over here in Clarksville. One reason for that is because it's Christmastime. And these Hillises are ready. Just a little more shopping and wrapping to do. The phrase "Ma in her kerchief and I in my cap" could perhaps be applied if you saw us. I may or may not tell you if we have or if we have not been wearing really tacky Christmas attire. To get in the spirit.

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth. Psalm 86:11. Sunday, August 18, 2013. We got to spend some awesome time with our friends Ben and Emily Bailey. Eatin waffles and hanging out and just spending great time together. We were able to still see SO many familiar faces at a big church party Friday night and just spend time catching up with great friends. I got to deliver all twelve signs from my big summer project for the AMBER Adoption Fund Fundraiser. And last but not least. We spent t...

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth. Psalm 86:11. Thursday, November 29, 2012. William started self-feeding around mid-November. We knew he was ready when he kept reaching for the spoon and got such a kick out of feeding himself with it (aka dousing himself with it). Bring on more dishcloths! Experimenting with soft apple and veggie puffs. He can hold onto the puffs really well. It's inside his hand. Gets a good bite of his fist. Figuring out how to hold it right. Thanks for coming f...
