To get to the start: From Kommetjie Road, turn into Berg Rd, which then becomes Mountain Rd, and a few hundred metres before the dead end, there is a SANParks sign saying Elsies Peak. Where are we going this Sunday?: Spitskop - from behind Noordhoek Manor

http://wherearewegoingthissunday.blogspot.com/2014/03/spitskop.html

Where are we going this Sunday? Spitskop - from behind Noordhoek Manor. A steep climb, with wonderful views. Starting behind Noordhoek Manor Retirement Village, at the gravel road off Topaz Walk, we aim to walk up to Spitskop and across to the Silvermine Dam. From Spitskop you just do down the path into Silvermine and along the path back down to the Dam. It takes about three hours from start to finish (add on for tea and photographs). The path is a bit sloshy but dog friendly. July 2, 2014 at 2:25 AM.

Where are we going this Sunday?: Tranquility Cracks

http://wherearewegoingthissunday.blogspot.com/2014/07/tranquility-cracks.html

Where are we going this Sunday? We think the best way to this magical place on Table Mountain is to start at the SANParks road on Theresa Avenue, walk up to the contour path, turn right and walk all along to the end, then up Corridor Ravine which is a fairly easy way up - apart from some vertiginous paths as you pass through Slangolie Ravine. For a map and a description from Shirley Brossy's book on Walks on Table Mountain (although she advocates going up Kasteelspoort and down Corridor).

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and was able to ring in the new year in the best ways! I fell asleep on my couch and missed the new year by 20 minutes so I’m hoping that it’s a sign that this year won’t be as exhausting as my life has been lately. Be a better human (this one is still up for debate).

Where Are We Here?

A father's struggle to capture his children's brief moment of youth in words and pictures. January 9, 2017. Posted on January 9, 2017. Clara offered to help me fix the car yesterday. I was reluctantly pulling on gloves and searching our closet for a stocking cap, and she started pulling some out for herself as well.
