Where Did I Get This Lemon? Persevering Through Chronic Illness. My name is Lauren and I’m 35 years old and chronically ill with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), a form of dysautonomia. I have been sick for 8 1/2 years and disabled for 8 years. I was an emergency veterinarian in my former life and have now been relegated to invalid. But I’m not going peacefully.
