Where I Am

Thoughts and mediations on my search to know God and find meaning in the day-to-day. Who I am is not important. Being in constant motion is not equivalent to having life. One more book to read, one more program to follow, and yet one more ministerial commitment to give my time to are not filling or sustaining me. Where is the path between merely faithful church attendance and a genuine life of faith? I can think of nothing else to do in this search but to begin with fundamental questions. Who is God?

Where I Am Now

In my car, running errands, I often pass a house with a lovely Japanese maple in the front yard, decorated with little white lights and what look like tiny prayer flags. After noticing this for several weeks and wondering what all the little tags are for, I decided it was time to get out of my car and walk over to find out. A sign posted on the fence explains:.
