Where I'm Likely to Find It

Where I'm Likely to Find It. Saturday, November 28, 2009. CANNOT stop. NO. I've had this song. On repeat pretty much all weekend. I put my headphones on because I'm actually embarrassed to insist Kazuki listen to it again. To me, it's shades of Bob Marley's No Woman, No Cry, and totally awesome. I realize the Dirty Projectors are kind of an acquired taste, but wow. When they hit the mark they really hit it for me. I'm almost as equally smitten with Stillness is the Move. Where I'm Likely to Find It: May 2009

http://www.whereimlikelytofindit.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Where I'm Likely to Find It. Monday, May 25, 2009. Lately I've been thinking about houses. Or homes, more broadly. Apartments, condos, RVs, house boats, all of that. I love 'em. Old ones, new ones, big, small, traditional, modern, rural, urban. Paid for, foreclosed. You name it, I probably want to come over and see it. Or at least look at the floor plan. But there's something about them, especially the older wooden ones. That have real tatami mats. Some of the more modern interpretations. I love Kazuki's...

Where I'm Likely to Find It. Saturday, July 25, 2009. Cool Biz in the Summer Swelter. It seems to have become a summer tradition for journalists around the world to fret over the temperature of Japan's office buildings. This year is no. Perhaps I've been in the country too long, but my gut response to the cool biz debate is usually something along the lines of "everyone should just stop complaining and get back to work.". Where I'm Likely to Find It: October 2008

http://www.whereimlikelytofindit.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Where I'm Likely to Find It. Sunday, October 05, 2008. It's all the mornings we miss for sleep. Yesterday I woke up closer to 1 pm than noon, with one of those head colds that makes you feel hung over even though you haven't been drinking. I wish I could say this sets some sort of record for me in terms of weekend laziness, but sadly, it does not. Determined to make the most of the rest of the day, Kaz and I took the train to Inokashira park. Enjoying a late lunch on a park bench. View my complete profile.

The Second Bakery Attack. Newer posts →. Chasers run around to nowhere. November 1, 2007. Anyone else think the Chaser is starting to lose it? I remember the first time I saw the Chaser. It would have been ‘The election chaster’, and it must have been the 2001 election. Watching Latham wack the boys on the steps of Parliament was pure gold – and to think, I still supported the man once he became leader. But you can’t tell me that you get as excited about it as you once did, can you? October 31, 2007.

The Second Bakery Attack. February 21, 2008. Sorry this has taken so long to post. I know – very very slack. Also, you will have to excuse the lack of some punctuation marks; Spanish keyboards are a little different to back home! At the end of our street sit the Zoluco, which is a very large public square surrounded by a cathedral, the presidents house and two significant city buildings. Even the streets we wander down everyday are nice, cobble stone and very clean. And the museums and art! You are comme...

The Second Bakery Attack. Who would have guessed? Don’t buy evil balls →. Review: Tim Rogers – The Luxury of Hysteria. November 7, 2007. Tim Rogers is probably Australian’s finest rock star. He releases about an album a year, is trying to save the North Melbourne football club and has experienced more falls than a footy player running on the dodgy bits of painted turf at Telstra Dome. The Second Bakery Attack. Chasers run around to nowhere. Who would have guessed? Why can’t I do something? November 2, 2007. Today I have done nothing. I was woken up by the sound of my boss talking on his phone outside my window. We live on the same street, and he must be looking after the kids and walking them around my house. Then I spent far too many hours looking at Daniel Bowen’s blog. But now the time has come. Dear God, the time has come. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Fill in your detai...

I know it’s lame to just republish newspaper articles, but this is gold. 8216;Sorry’ on rates not an apology. Prime Minister John Howard has denied apologising for the latest interest rate rise. Mr Howard yesterday said he was “sorry” about the pain the rise – the sixth since the 2004 election – would cause borrowers. But today he denied that amounted to an apology. Which moron told him to say that?

However, it seems that despite services like this, very few people go to the effort to have their computers recycled. Apparently, Australia is one of the very last developed countries to allow computers to enter landfill. Albeit, I guess I didn’t know about this service till I searched today. Now this is funny. I wish the movie had been more faithful to the animated version, because honestly, the animation had some great moments! I did love it - and the shoes!
