A year in Korea. A year in Korea. I'm not going to open the little package from Iowa until I'm on the bus from Pohang to home tonight. It feels like CDs and I'm not sure I can wait until after language classes to open it. Classes are twice a week and if we take both classes, we'll be there from 6:30 to 8:45, with a break in the middle. The classes are in Pohang, which is an hour from Yeongcheon, where I live, so I have to make sure to catch the last bus, which leaves at 9:30. Links to this post. 4 Leave ...

This Saturday I'm going to a KOTESOL (Korea Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) workshop in Daegu, a big city about an hour west of Youngchun. On Sunday I'll hopefully meet up with other ETAs in Pohang, which is another big city an hour east. What are your hobbies? Why do you want to learn English? What is your motivation for learning English? Do you have a boyfriend?

Yeongcheon Girls High School was selected to be on a TV show about high schools. A show that promotes understanding between students and teachers, who are often generations apart and have little way of connecting- in or out of the classroom. Keep an eye on KBS2! My brother and I had not used our forge for several years and we were anxious to light it up again. Earlier on we had used it in a corner of the machine shed but the forge and workbench had been dismantled and stored since then. It took about a day of cleaning out manure and spreading it on the fields before before we could set up the forge. From your own site.

Where is she now? Sunday, July 26, 2009. Scuba diving with manta rays. Is most definitely one of the absolutely most incredible and surreal experiences of my life. I cannot believe that I almost didn't come over to the big island to do this dive. It is rated one of the 10 best dives in the world, and I cannot imagine something more impressive and awe-inspiring.
