Ellyn's Abroad Experience: Ode to Malta!
http://anabroadexperience.blogspot.com/2007/03/ode-to-malta.html
Wednesday, March 14, 2007. We have been back in Malta for a couple days now and I'd have to say that is wasn't quite as fun as Greece. We have had a bit of excitement however! We found a cockroach and another slug in our flat! Something we really aren't used to, but we caught it! The rain let up yesterday and I was able to get out for a run. I ran to a place along the sea where there is a soccer field. I am missing soccer here like none other! It was so beautiful! Because who really wants to be inside a ...

Ellyn's Abroad Experience: March 2007
http://anabroadexperience.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Did you know that its not Turkey? They have so many exciting stories from their travels and they were very helpful when we had questions about the sites we went to. When we reached our hotel we got a quick nap and we were off for the day. We went to lunch at this small restaurant near our hotel The bread there was my favorite; they made it in a fire and they kept bringing us more for free! And the apple tea here! I have never tasted such amazing tea! That night we had 3 deserts!

Ellyn's Abroad Experience: On My Own!
http://anabroadexperience.blogspot.com/2007/04/on-my-own.html
Monday, April 2, 2007. Saturday I began my trip on my own! Traveling to Egypt by myself is very exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time. It's going to be weird being separated from the group for two weeks when we are together 24/7, but it going to be exciting! I couldn’t find the right gate, until I saw a small sign that pointed to an elevator. The gate was downstairs and I got there just in time! Good thing I checked the gate number! The driving here is crazy! We thought it was scary in Malta!

Katie in Malta: Scuba!
http://katiebillings.blogspot.com/2007/05/scuba.html
Friday, May 18, 2007. Today had clouds and showers in the forecast so a couple of us decided to cancel our beach plans and go scuba diving! They'd bite at your fingers but their teeth weren't sharp enough to break skin - it was so fun! The day ended up being hot and sunny which was nice because we went to lay out on the dock after we were done. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Your need to make a snapfish account to view them.). Last Day at Marsa. Done, done, DONE! Looks Can Be Deceiving.

Saturday, May 5, 2007. Ellyn's Bowl of Delicious Goodness. This week we had our final class at the University - that means no more walking up and down that HUGE hill. It's quite the trek! Here's some of us on our last day. In other news, we've had quite the clean flat this week! Aaron's brother enjoys cleaning so he swept the whole place for us! Also, I've been wearing new white socks and enjoying a pleasant-smelling bathroom! Walks It's perfect on these warm nights! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Katie in Malta: Day 1: Dublin
http://katiebillings.blogspot.com/2007/05/day-1-dublin.html
Wednesday, May 9, 2007. Our first full day in Ireland was spent in the city of Dublin. It also happened to be Svobod's 21st birthday! We spent the morning at Malahide Castle. The walk there was gorgeous. It was sooo green - something we don't see in Malta. We took a tour through the castle which was also very cool. While walking through the city, we experienced a lot of weather changes! We'd heard about the weather being very crazy but had no idea! Out whole weekend was full of this craziness.

Katie in Malta: My Missing Wallet
http://katiebillings.blogspot.com/2007/05/my-missing-wallet.html
Saturday, May 19, 2007. AND my wallet didn't have that much cash in it - only about $25. I went to bed and got up at 7 this morning to leave for Valletta. I was going to check the bus station to see if anything had been found. The first office had nothing but as I was walking up to the second office they started saying, "Yep, that's her." They asked me my name and then pulled it out! Whew I am one lucky girl! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Your need to make a snapfish account to view them.).

Katie in Malta: Back in Malta
http://katiebillings.blogspot.com/2007/05/back-in-malta.html
Wednesday, May 9, 2007. We arrived back in Malta just in time to go to Valletta for class. After freeeezing when getting on the plane to go back from Dublin to Malta, the warm Malta weather was very much welcomed! Our lecture that day was with Ellul again which never really works with my attention span. I don't know what I'm going to do next Tuesday when we have him for FOUR hours! Everyone paired up and brought something to share. People brought deviled eggs, shrimp dip and crackers, THIN MINTS!

Ellyn's Abroad Experience: Greece!
http://anabroadexperience.blogspot.com/2007/03/greece.html
Monday, March 12, 2007. So I don't think I will ever catch up so I am just going to start with Greece since we just returned. I may go back and talk about the last month just to confuse any readers though I am going to start with Greece. The first day we met our tour guide Olin Storvich who is a delightful older man. We all loved him and we were so surprised by his ability to take us around the country. At the age of 85 he took us to the tallest point in Greece! Guards of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
