Thursday, December 16, 2010. Prognosis: It's Another Big Baby. I had my 35 week appointment yesterday, which came with an ultrasound. She estimated the baby to be 6 lbs., 12 oz. Well, that's a normal-sized baby, right? Oh yeah, but I am only 35 weeks today! I looked at the ultrasound tech and said, "And how much do babies gain in the last weeks of pregnancy? About half a pound? She said, "Yep, we are looking at an over 9 lb. baby! Right now the baby is in the 93rd percentile. I took that as a good sign.
