Welcome to my blog. Hopefully this will be an interesting and sometimes amusing diary of the food I like to cook and eat, plus other food related snippets. Wednesday, 6 January 2010. December is a busy time for me and this year was no exception. Although 'kitchen fatigue' can set in, it doesn't diminish my enthusiasm for cooking our Christmas goodies. With knife and fork. A blog mostly about food. Two colours of sedum. I love the tiny flower detail on sedum heads. Almost like lace in some ways. I also love the different hues they come in from near white. They’ll be finished soon for this year though. October 22, 2011. May 17, 2015. The recent sunny weather has brought the pelargoniums into a second round of flowering. And today was a pleasantly sunny day with good light for taking pictures in the garden. October 9, 2011. Welcome to my blog. Hopefully this will be an interesting and sometimes amusing diary of the food I like to cook and eat, plus other food related snippets. Thursday, 9 September 2010. Theo Randall at The Intercontinental. So, how did we come to find oursleves trolling round Harrod's Christmas decorations in early August? We were keeping out of the rain, that's how. We had already decided to try the pre-theatre menu, which at £23 for 2 courses and £27 for 3, it seemed a great bargain and made ev...Whilst ...

The Ample Cook: August 2010
http://theamplecook.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

From pergola to plate. We have had a vine in our garden for about 10 years. It branches out under our pergola, making a lovely shady spot to eat outside when the temperature rises. These were thoroughly washed and boiled for 10 minutes until they were soft, but still whole. We ate the vine leaves with home made tzatziki and r...
